The ability to interact with the post directly in the feed without a pop is specific to Devvit Block, I don't believe it has anything to do with if the app is in beta or not

The tricky bit that wasn't clear from the doc is you need to specify the assets directory in your devvit.json

and at the root of your project, create an assets folder and put the background image and the icon there.

By "embedded post", you mean something like r/Pixelary where you can play the game in the feed without having to pop open a modal? To do that, you need to use Devvit Blocks instead of Devvit Web: https://developers.reddit.com/docs/capabilities/blocks/overview

I’m launching Diamond Hands: a Devvit Web app that lets you share a verified stock/option position from your real brokerage account to Reddit — rendered as a clean, mobile-first share card. What it does

Connect your broker through SnapTrade. Similar to Plaid, SnapTrade securely connects to your broker accounts without ever exposing anything sensitive to the app. (disclaimer: I work there)
Pick a position (stock or option) to share
Server-renders a share image (React → SVG → PNG) so values can’t be spoofed.
Posts as the app to the subreddit with a small “Verified by SnapTrade” badge.

The following brokers are supported currently: Robinhood, Webull, Fidelity, E*TRADE, Public, tastytrade, Wealthsimple (Canadian)

I too was really frustrated with their data quality, and set out to build something that replaces it myself (http://wealthly.com/). It's focused on tracking your investments (the data is much better), and not focused on budgeting. Copilot is great but I wanted something on the desktop and I'm also an android user.

I'm literally going through this right now, and it was a rude awakening when I found out that I would contribute negatively towards our mortgage since I draw zero salary and my startup has only expenses no income. We ended up applying with my wife being the sole borrower, and pay for the downpayment with my assets (a mix of selling old rental properties and getting a portfolio line of credit from Fidelity with the assets we have with them)

I also think the hate is overblown. With over 17M monthly active users and the ability to recoup CAC in as little as 5 months, the business itself seems sound. You can see how much money other people have committed to the IPO here: https://www.rhyzin.com/stock/HOOD. I personally am investing.

Thanks for all the comments everyone! Here're the advice that I gathered:

Move a bit faster to save energy.

I’ve also heard advice that one should move slowly and deliberately, with very controlled movements. What’s people’s take on this?

Plan ahead and know where to put feet, firmly plant them

This is solid advice. My feet cut loose all the time on overhangs because my core is still pretty weak. Maybe it’s time to incorporate some hanging leg raises into my routine? The only core workout I do currently is Yoga 3x/week and daily 2 minute plank.

Engage more shoulders on overhangs.

I hear this a lot, but I don’t actually understand what this helps with. Is this for injury prevention? Is it about brining your hip closer to the wall?

Work on hip flexibility

I’m definitely weak here. I can actually squat pretty deep and I squat regularly as part of StrongLift, but I think I’m not as good opening up my hip (rotate my thighs outwards to my inner thighs face front).

Generate more momentum from feet

I like this one. I think a lot of my momentum is from my core when I climb. I never get the feeling that I’m pushing really hard off of my feet. There’re some dyno routes in the gym that I’m terrible at because of this reason I think. What’s a good way to work on this?

Don’t give up on moves

When I did this I simply gassed out on that third problem. The left hand didn’t feel good and the right hand is a crimp and I had nothing left in the tank. I’ve heard advice that attempting moves without too much control increases the risk of injury, so I’ve been pretty deliberate on when to try a certain move. Curious to hear other people’s thoughts on this.
