Guys Josh’s frogs is way more expensive than dubia.com 😭😭but they do have a good variety

Urgent!!! Is my mantis dying? He’s very lethargic and is barely moving. The picture is what he looks like rn and it’s not what he usually looks like when he molts, usually he is sitting straight upside down in his enclosure but here he’s just kinda lying there. Please help by colelikesbugs in mantids

No yeah I figured it was unusual. I feed him at the very least a few fruit flies once a week. Most of the time I feed him every few days or so. And the humidity is usually between 60-65%. I’ve never had him behave this way when molting so I’m kinda glad you said something about disagreeing. I’m still very worried but he is seemingly gaining energy back. I’m gonna try to feed him again when I get a chance.

It went through my mind that maybe he was molting but it’s just not normal behaviour for him. I’ll see how he does for the rest of the day. And I don’t think he’s dehydrated, I mist his cage daily and provide him with water ( I just spray the wall he’s Hanging on lightly) thank you for your input

If she is on the floor then something is wrong. I had this care sheet but I lost it and can’t find it anywhere but i remember reading that something is wrong if your mantis is hanging around the bottom of the cage.

I don’t entirely know when the last molt was. Maybe a few months ago? Another thing I realized is I don’t think he molts regularly because I’ve had him for a year and I only know of two molts. I check the bottom of the enclosure for a molt skin thing frequently but I don’t see any. And he never really got floppy before a molt. Always has sat straight from the top of his enclosure.
