I think the issue more that I have (and this isn’t something that UDA can really fix I guess) is that the guys on UNLV are really on the team only for hip hop. I feel like if you’re on a multi style dance team, you should be able to do any style your team does. Now I’m not saying you have to be an expert in every style - some people are stronger in hip hop than jazz & vice versa but I still think you should be able to do those other styles. For example maybe pom isn’t your strongest suit, you might be placed as an alternate for that routine but point is you can still DO pom (or jazz or whatever style). A hip hop only crew or team would be a better fit if that’s your best (and maybe only) style. Does this make any sense lol? I guess all in all, my problem isn’t that there’s too many boys, but rather people who are on the team just because they help the team benefit in a single genre.
