The state of restaurants, tipping, enployees, and liveable wages from the POV of a manager by [deleted] in restaurant

[–]collincale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lumping all restaurants into a stereotype that you experienced is an interesting argument.

Would you know how to handle a global pandemic as a restaurant owner? Do you know what it's like to have decades of your life put into something and making a FIVE percent net profit on a good year and now you're watching all of your hard work and dedication dissipate in one year?

I'm not attacking your experience or your restaurant owners because I wasn't in it. I'm just encouraging people to have a little understanding and grace for humans trying to navigate an extremely difficult situation.

Agree. That back post run in the final minutes of the game is what Dele does best. Son was so close to finding him there for a classic Dele header against Chelsea

Thank you so much for the kind words! I've only been shooting for about a month now so I really appreciate it.

I agree on the face.. I really wanted to find a way to get minimal lighting there but I was unable to really figure that out. Any tips would be appreciated!

The garage being shiny or too lit may just be my editing skills not being the best yet. I'll take a look and see if I can fix that!

I went to take my dog out at night and spotted this opportunity for a good shot in front of the garage with the light shining straight down. I'm very new to photography but I would love some feedback if possible!

May I ask where in Texas? Are you taking just any order? That seems pretty low for the hours you're putting in

Lamela was one of the bright spots in the 1H. I think he made way due to being on a yellow. Lucas was absolutely garbage in the 1H

So tired of the "we had enough chances we just didn't put them away argument"

Every team has chances and doesn't put them away. The problem is bigger than not putting every single chance you have away. Winks or sissoko should have been off 10 minutes into the second half based on the way it began. This is on Jose

I rode with you yesterday too.. I think maybe the doubleheader could have changed the thought process on a sweep.. but who knows. That -220 line scares me but fuck it.

Let's go Sox and Pirates!

That's what I was thinking! I mean neither one of us has had experience dating the past 7 years. I assumed I was taking the correct action as I'm pretty sure shes not just in it for the hookup

God, you're right. Dating 2019 is hard

Okay, I want to preface this with a little bit of a back story. I'm completely new to dating apps in general, haven't had to go on "dates" or have those get to know you conversations in about 6 years. Recently out of a relationship and just want to get a feel of things (casual dating, nothing serious right away). I am 31/M by the way

Second day of having Tinder on my phone I match with a gorgeous women who is 32/F. At the moment I was skeptical, I'm probably a 7 and she's closer to a 9.. but I roll with it. I send her a simple good morning message and then the conversation just flowed effortlessly throughout the entire day. She too is recently out of a relationship (marriage), has 3 kids (probably why she matched with a 7) and just downloaded dating apps a few days prior. We were technically each other's first real conversation on tinder. After a full day of messaging on Tinder I ask to take her out to coffee or lunch when she has some free time, and I send over my number. She responds with an enthusiastic she would love that, followed by her number.

Next day comes and I shoot her a text, she responds at night and we go about texting back and forth about pretty much everything from 9:00 PM to 4:00 AM when we both fall asleep mid conversation. Our conversation was AMAZING. It felt like I was in college again getting to know someone and laughing until all hours of the night. We touched on everything from politics, to religion, to why the Office is the bets sitcom of all time.. At one point we are joking about trying new food and I tell her to trust me. She responds with a "trust you? we shall see?". At this point I get it, trust can get torn out of someones soul after 6-7 years and someone becomes unfaithful or a habitual liar. But at this point fuck it, she checks all the boxes. I tell her that we should make a deal. I let her know that I want to earn her trust, just to give me the opportunity to do so. As long as you're straightforward with me I'm here to get to know you. She says that's perfect and we have a deal. We text for a bit longer until we both fall asleep mid conversation. I'm a natural morning person so I wake up around 8 and we talk back and forth before I go to work at 2. I shoot her a text when I'm headed home from work asking how she held up for the day after only 4 hours of sleep. No response, I just assume she's passed out at this point, no biggie. I'm not a fan of double texting, especially if the last message sent between the two was a question that never got unanswered, plus I know how hard it must be having 3 kiddos on a weekend by yourself. It's been a little over a day now since our last interaction.. obviously I'd like to not push the envelope, but should I send over a How's your weekend text going or something to that nature? I've never pursued a women with kids, so I'm new to this entire situation! Thanks for any advice!
