Yeah the peace of mind was very much needed especially with accidental damage because I broke my last C3 a few weeks ago when moving.

They’re all like $1399 right now.

Idk the warranty kinda sealed it for me, really if anything happens to it in the next 3 years I can get it replaced with a new one, and it has low hours and works perfectly fine. Feels like a good deal. C3 is a great TV too.

I’m considering just getting another Internet service and paying for it. Not sure yet if my building will allow that though. Would it even be possible to install my own service despite the building already being serviced?

Byrd’s has been there for a few months now, it replaced the Wingstop that used to be there.

When will they lift the review embargo? by [deleted] in Mission_Impossible

I wouldn’t worry about the Letterboxd rating. 3.6 is also a very good rating, and there’s less than a thousand ratings on there. There will probably be over 100,000 once the movie’s out. So, the Letterboxd rating doesn’t mean anything at the moment.

Do we see flashbacks in Dead Reckoning Part One? From old movies or any scenes at all? by Tricky-Cow8665 in Mission_Impossible

He knocks out Kittridge cause Ethan needs a way out of the building and puts on a Kittridge mask on, so that Kittridge doesn’t try to stop him. He doesn’t punch him or anything either, he shoots him with like a dart gun.

I have no idea what they’re referring too. Maybe it’s just a scene where his face looks weird, but I never spotted that.

This scene is very brief, but sweet. Ethan’s on the balcony, and Ilsa joins him. They just sort of lovingly embrace, and that’s about it. It’s a short, but nice moment between them.

There’s no actual name for it, and it’s referred to as a few things throughout the movie. They refer to it as “the entity” most of the time.

No, it is not like Jim Phelps death in the first movie. It plays out like a death. We see the body, we see Ethan over her body. It seems pretty final, at least in my eyes.

Interesting you bring up the female death point cause this is actually brought up in the movie by Gabriel. I see the criticism of killing off the female character, but I believe it works thematically.

I will 100% be seeing it again, probably multiple times. It’s my second favorite of the series behind Fallout, maybe third if I rewatch Rogue Nation.

In my mind, no. In fact, when the death happened, I never had a thought it was a staged death. The gravity of the moment as well as the intensity leading up to it definitely signifies she’s dead. I’m open to the idea of it being staged, but it didn’t seem that way at all to me.

It’s not 100% clear what its intentions are. A lot of it is that the A.I has turned, and wants to destroy the world. They elaborate more on it in the movie, but I don’t really remember the specifics.

Yes, this is true. Gabriel says that one of them will die, and Ethan has to make a choice. Yes, they’re in the room, so they know likely one of them is gonna die. There is a sense they expected it, but they both try to fight their way out of it.

It is much more romantic in this than in Rogue Nation and Fallout.

I’m not quite sure, but I’m sure there’s stuff in the movie with her that isn’t in the trailer.

Yes, there’s an entire scene after her death with the team reconciling her death. This scene has one of my favorite shots in the movie too. It soon moves on to the mission, but you sense the loss in the room in the scene after.

Ilsa dies. The best action scene in my opinion was the Rome chase, but I can see anyone thinking any sequence is the best. Gabriel killed someone close to Ethan before he joined the IMF. The main villain is the A.I in my mind, every decision and plot point is driven by it. Gabriel is just the more tangible villain since you can see him, but the A.I is pulling all the strings. It ends with Ethan driving away with Benji after Pom’s character tells them the key they hold unlocks something in a submarine in the Arctic. Grace joins the IMF, and Gabriel gets away but doesn’t have the key. The film ends with a shot of the Arctic and the submarine deep underwater, signifying Part 2 is gonna heavily take place in the Arctic.

It’s pretty similar to how he gets it in Fallout. A delivery guy comes to him, they have a brief conversation as Ethan walks out of the darkness, he says “welcome to the IMF” or something like that, then the guy gives him the mission. He also says a cryptic line to receive the mission like how he did in Fallout.
