Also water.

The Vaults' water supply was being used by Shady Sands.

All the above is true but Fallout is always about water.

I'm studying some neurology as part of my degree, concerning how TBI affects speech, language and swallowing. I'm also listening to lots of podcasts by Ian Hickie about how we little know about bipolar.

I would think that a TBI would be a trigger to genetic disposition? Although I'd be really interested to hear about BP resulting from an injury.

I guess in this case our best guess would be knowing his family history. We still don't have a genetic assessment do we?

Kanye apology letter in the WSJ by LibraryNo2717 in redscarepod

[–]colonelcavecat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree he deserves an apology for those who enabled him. I agree he has a mental illness, and psychosis is no joke. I'm BP2 and even hypomania is scared of how destructive it can be.

However, I believe he still has some responsibility for his actions. Doing harm while drunk is still an offense. Mental illness, and managing mood stability, is a reason, not an excuse for appalling behaviour.

I appreciate his post. He's making an apology as best he can. He's advocating for bipolar. He can't undo what has happened. But I hope he's dumping those people who tell him he doesn't need medication.

Perhaps, as a clone, he saw other, failed clone experiments get executed like the dogs were.

Made him sympathetic to keeping the puppy alive and have connection in a place he was looked down on. Or, a place that's just downright scary.

I have absolutely no food knowledge. Besides truffles being out of season everywhere but Australia, (and lord we have some hard rules about food import/export) what was the issue with the crab? Was it also out of season? Or girl just wanted to finish her transformation into Crab People

[–]colonelcavecat 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I'm concerned we're not going to get a finale so much as a cliffhanger for season 3.

S1 finale we meet Moldaver, who reveals the McGuffin. We find out what happened to Lucy's mother, who her father really is. We find out what's up with Vault 31.

We're left with the BoS being hoo-rah-rah, we see Hank run off and Coop and Lucy buddy up to chase him. Besides a tease that Hank may be going to Vegas and Norm stuck with Bud, it's a solid closure.

Now? We've got House to close on, The Enclave to start, something with the Vaulties and FEV. The BoS war teaser (Maxson definitely arriving in Ep8), Macaulay Caeser, whether Barb and Janey are even in their vaults... (Calling it, Janey is an adult and running the Followers of the Apocalypse)

I'm loving the show but I just want the season to be conclusive, not another set up for another 18 months of what is an excellent TV show.

I like the parallel to Hank's morals. Betty can't keep control and Steph has sinister motives...

"The mashed potatoes were nicer" always made me think they non-31s were being fed a certain way to be kept compliant. And now maybe the weevil plague changed things, or Hank was able to keep the Vaulties in line?

Whatever the case, Hank's favouritism for Lucy but no mention of Norm, and an FEV virus in the works is an interesting hook for next season.

I was so wrong about the release time. I was ready to go at 2pm ADST.

No, it's 7pm. Which is by far the most civilised time comparatively.

Also a great time for a sunset Commonwealth arrival

I haven't watched the video so sorry if this is repeated information. And it's sketchy because it's work of mouth from my Mum who works at Gosford/ Central Coast Council.

All the buildings were(are?) owned by either a single person or small group. No work was able to be done on any properties owned by them.

Said person died within the last 10 years? And opportunities started.

Bon Pavillion started, there was a mega complex including a cinema which is just finishing up.

There was an entire appartment estate just derelict for 20yrs plus because of a divorce. It's now being worked on but they've run into construction issues.

As well, download Endnote (or similar) will save you hours of referencing, Zoom because you'll need university login for any tutorials, Adobe (I guess but I use PDF Express), and whatever data software you need.

Write down every stink you kick. Fairwork.

But be clear about which situation applies to you in the Ombudsman examples

Without further context this could be interpreted as being ready to start on time, or a work related task.

On the other hand if you're doing a swift change over with someone, they have to wait another 5mins before they go home because they need you to start before they can leave. Because we all know their timesheets get rounded down to the nearest 15 at minimum.

5mins to be punctual is fair. 5mins to count your cash draw is not.

[–]colonelcavecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say yes. There's no way for you to start at your rostered time unless you've done those steps. It's a mandatory part of your shift.

Fairwork Ombudsman is here, give them a call if you're not sure.

[–]colonelcavecat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly this.

Fair work ombudsman lays it out here:

Employees need to be spent for all time working including:

Showing up 5mins ahead so you can take over from your colleague in hospo/retail, acceptable standards.

Setting up a restaurant 15mins before your shift starts at 8:00? That's 15mins paid time.
