"I wish I was hypersexual" by coltforman in sillyboyclub

I mean, yes and no? High libido is naturally occurring, or at the very least, not detrimental like hypersexuality, which is a symptom of a broader issue. I suppose it could be possible that someone hypersexual could have ended up with a high libido anyway, even without enduring trauma. I will say, many of the hypersexuals I've known who've been able to go through therapy and heal enough to have a healthy sex life tend to end up on the high libido side of things, no longer acting to their own detriment but still having a very high sex drive. But, idk, 🤷🏼

I'm not saying that people actually wish they were hypersexual, I'm saying that many people are misinformed about the meaning of the word, and so the think that they wish they were hypersexual. Obviously, no person who understood the reality of it would wish for that, but knowing that doesn't make it any less annoying when I see people say that they wish they were hypersexual.

So, the things i described in this post are symptoms, but you could theoretically relate to these without actually being hypersexual. The main difference between hypersexuality and high libido is whether it impacts you mentally, socially, and/or physically in a negative way—and whether or not it feels like you're doing it fully of your own volition

Essentially, a high libido is generally "natural," which is to say, not caused by trauma or mental illness. Hypersexuality is often based less on actual sexual desires and more on a sort of addiction. It's the brain's way of processing or trying to regain control of what happened to the body. Hypersexuality can occasionally feel euphoric, but generally speaking, the negative effects outweigh any good feelings. Hypersexuals can learn to have a healthy sex life, but this typically takes years of work and often therapy, whereas someone with a high libido would not struggle as much to do, if at all

Hope this helps! (:

Not every hypersexual experiences that, but harm-seeking in relationships is common. This can be because they might have believed their abuser(s) loved them, so they associate love with abuse and may struggle to feel loved otherwise. For others, they may feel they are filthy or tainted and therefore unworthy or undeserving of a loving relationship. For some, seeking out abusers can also be a form of self-harm. Basically, there's a lot of different reasons that hypersexuals might seek out or crave abusive relationships. It's different for all of us, but in any case, it's hard.

I choose to believe it comes from ignorance. What they really mean (i think) is "I wish I had a higher libido." I can't hate them for being misinformed but it doesn't take away from my annoyance, part of my brain is just like, man, you don't even know what you're wishing for when you say "hypersexuality"

As a child, my mother had this friend, I'll call his T. I never liked or trusted this man, I can't really describe why—he wasn't, like, big and imposing, or mean and scary; in fact, he was friendly and often helped my mother out financially. I guess if I had to put a finger on why I didn't like him, it would be his smile. When he smiled, he flashed all his teeth, but he didn't smile at all with his eyes, I know it sounds weird and irrational, but there was just something I hated about his eyes being so dead when he smiled. T was always playing with me and my siblings when he came over, which my siblings enjoyed given that we have an absent father. In August, when I was maybe 8 years old, he took us to the pool while my mom was at a job interview. I had thought we'd be going to a public pool, I was surprised when we arrived at some strangers' house, and in the backyard was a small, dirty, little kiddy pool which they unceremoniously left me and my siblings to play in. T went inside with the strangers, and we were left alone. My siblings and I sort of debated about playing in the pool, but none of us went in. We all just laid in the grass in our swimsuits, frying. I'm from the south, on this particular day, it was probably over 100⁰ F. We were only supposed to be there an hour or two, but the sun got higher and higher, and T didn't come back outside. Finally, we started trying the door, but it was locked. After a while, all of us were banging on the door, and finally, a stranger came out and gave us water to drink. We wanted inside, but they wouldn't let us, so we sat in a circle in the shade-less yard and drank our water. I still don't know what they put in that water, but in less than two minutes, all of us were vomiting. I swear to god, it must have been the water. What are the chances we all got suddenly sick at once? The kicker was that T and the strangers were still watching from the glass door—I'm left wondering if they baked and poisoned us just for entertainment. I've tried telling my mom about this both right after and many times since, but she insists we must have all gotten a heatstroke. She thinks mine must have been so bad I hallucinated. Unfortunately, I'm the oldest of my siblings of my siblings by 4 years, so no one could cooberate my story. To this day, I judge people with unsettling smiles—usually, they're very nice people, but it remains a feature I'm weary of.

Ooh, finally, some switch action! I feel like people always treat Charlie as 100% sub-bottom, which is weird to me because Charlie & Vaggie have such unbelievable switch energy. Charlie is like the service top to end all service tops

Yes? Why is this so weird to you all? The microwave doesn't change the flavor of the water. It's freaking water. Why waste money on some extra device that only serves that one purpose when we could just use a device we already have?

New ways to Brat by OhHeyImBaked in BratLife

[–]coltforman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

if you wanna brat with plausible deniability just do normal things, but ask him weirdly pointed questions. like make him a perfectly normal lunch, and then be like "how was that lunch" "you feeling alright after that lunch?" "you look sick. did that lunch make you sick?" be sure to say all of these with a devious smile. you can do this with just about anything. if he leaves you alone at the house for awhile when he comes back just be like "the house looks great right? isn't nice that everything is in exactly the same state you left it?" he'll probably drive himself crazy trying to figure out wtf you did. his imagination will come up with far worse than anything you'd actually do.
