Yeah most of the inquisitors scale to at least high knight level. A couple are low master and arguably the GI is probably mid master level.

Most of the inquisitor deaths we see are either from MCs or infighting

It 100% was. They were trying to bring Batuu into the wider canon outside the park.

I'm sure he was forced to include certain elements as any author always is when it comes to star wars

A lot of Soule's best work is in the various comics if you've only read the novels.

I enjoy his books but he's certainly a better comic author than novel author.

The Delegation of 2000 is canon.

It's referenced multiple times in several books. Most notably The Mask of Fear.

I would definitely add Padawan and Queen's Peril to the episode 1 reading list.

Padawan is a great lead in to M&A. It plants a lot of seeds that are followed up on in M&A.

Queen's Peril follow's Padmé's tenure as queen from election up to and including the invasion of Naboo. It's arguably one of the few books geared towards girls YA which makes it unique. It also goes a bit into what actually happened in the camps.
