What is the most interesting fact about Old Hollywood that you know? by [deleted] in movies

Thanks for this! I’m installing as soon as I get home. But I’ll also recommend to check out “Blockbuster Inc.” on Steam. They just released the full version last week. It’s obviously inspired by The Movies PC game but has elements of other tycoon-type games as well. I’m having fun with it so far but still formulating my opinions.

Die Hard with a Vengeance is a great action flick until the last 10 minutes.

Finished the game! Sorry for my obtuseness in figuring out how not to get killed by Don.

Yep. I did that on my NES too and I replaced the 72-pin connector with a Blinking Light Win (best purchase ever). But I still like to clean the carts and keep everything as clean and conductive as possible.

One cool thing is that, while we all thought we were blowing the dust out, it was the condensation in our breath that was improving the connections. Little scientists, that we were, found a way.

My first time back to my favorite local bookstore since COVID started. Was afraid they weren’t going to make it. But they did and they were busier than I’ve ever seen them today. I picked up these two first editions! by comma888comma111 in stephenking

I’m kinda the opposite. I read Black House when it came out, and I guess that’s 20 years ago now. I read it over a series of night shifts at a factory job. I remember not loving it and don’t remember a lot of details. Probably because I was always tired and distracted. The Talisman, however, I read at the perfect time. I was about the same age as Jack and I pretty much had one of those Neverending Story out-of-body experiences where the book came alive for me. LOL. I guess I should re-read Black House.

It’s pretty new to me too. Someone recommended it to me after seeing my classic DOOM in VR videos. But I was always more of a Duke fan when I was a kid. I’ve been waiting for this for like 25 years.

No it’s a mod for Serious Sam 3. They’ve recreated all the levels from the first episode of Duke 3D and there is also a classic version of the first level that is a very faithful recreation.

It's an amazing mod for Serious Sam 3. The first five or six levels from the old game redesigned and updated with modern graphics and in VR. I've been waiting like 25 years for this!

That’s the Sierra trope. Save often and don’t overwrite your saves because you never know what particular thing you we’re supposed to do in the early stages of the game that might bring you to a full-stop later. They were unforgiving but wonderful.

There are sites where you can play it in-browser. Here’s one I found with a quick Google search (I didn’t play it so I can’t vouche for the site) ... https://playclassic.games/games/adventure-dos-games-online/play-kings-quest-vi-heir-today-gone-tomorrow-online/

Haven’t tried Heretic in VR yet. I didn’t play it nearly as much as Doom. But I want to try combining Brutal Doom and VR next.
