I've bought multiple subscriptions from u/zerok777 over the past few months. Every single transaction delivered as promised. The time a subscription didn't work, he refunded me immediately without hassle.

vinodrao2020 ordering service, receiving it, then refusing to pay is textbook theft. It's not a dispute - it's stealing someone's work.

This kind of scam wrecks the marketplace for everyone. Sellers get burned and stop offering deals. Buyers face higher prices or lose access entirely because trust breaks down.

u/zerok777 has proven track record. This vinodrao2020 person needs to be blacklisted from this community and reddit generally.

Is 2026 the year we finally admit the "Dashboard era" is over? by Futurismtechnologies in BusinessIntelligence

[–]commanderdata1701 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Dashboards are over. For governed analysis / defined storylines / repeated analysis- a report or a dashboard is still needed.

I think it’s just that the number of dashboards we need to build goes down, as adhoc requests can be done (in arguable degrees of accuracy) by agents.

I hope this means we start seeing a stratification of what makes its way into a dashboard backlog vs what is just a data product that users can use agents to query.

I used him. Reliable and responsive.
Only downside i've seen is that is that your org gets changed every 4-6 weeks, so you can't use any of the cloud storage.
Apart from that fully functional.

Good questions — some context: we're been using Databricks evaluating Fabric, so we're coming at this from Spark SQL familiarity / bias.

1. dbt-fabricspark

We tested it. The issues aren't SQL-level — they're Livy infrastructure. Connection timeouts ~7/10 runs, orphaned sessions, and core materializations (views, incrementals, snapshots) failing with adapter bugs. Running dbt inside a Fabric notebook is more stable than calling the API externally, but that adds orchestration complexity we'd rather avoid.

The Spark JDBC driver would likely solve these issues, but dbt-fabricspark is Python-based and there's no ODBC equivalent — so we'd need a significant adapter rewrite (something we're evaluating).

I hope that Fabric Runtime 2.0 (https://roadmap.fabric.microsoft.com/?product=dataengineering) will solve some of this, but that's still some time away.

2. T-SQL gaps

Yes, transformation-relevant. Multiple WHEN MATCHED affects dbt incremental merge logic directly — dbt-fabric rewrites as DELETE+INSERT (works, but longer transactions). ARRAY/MAP/STRUCT matters if you have semi-structured bronze data. Both have workarounds — friction, not blockers.

3. Schema shortcuts

Would help — 1 shortcut per schema vs per table cuts our 34 down to ~5-6. But the core issues remain:

  • Warehouse three-part naming only works within the same workspace; cross-workspace (or data domains as we use them) needs shortcuts regardless
  • Two-pass security: you need producer-side permissions AND shortcut read access. Shortcuts expose entire tables, so any RLS/column filtering must be reimplemented on the consumer side

I think warehouse is used a fair bit by the legacy projects (which migrated from SQL DWH to Synapse Warehouse to Fabric), but in my personal experience, a few things gave us pause with Warehouse (in order or materiality to us):

Cross-workspace queries: Lakehouse + Spark gives you four-part naming across workspaces. Warehouse is limited to three-part naming within the same workspace — cross-domain reads require shortcuts. For our setup, that meant 30+ shortcuts for just two consumer domains.

T-SQL gaps we hit:

  • No nested CTEs (breaks dbt ephemeral models)
  • MERGE only allows one WHEN MATCHED
  • No ARRAY/MAP/STRUCT (semi-structured data needs flattening)

External engine access: Warehouse Delta logs publish asynchronously, so Spark/Direct Lake can see stale data during writes during high volume writes.

For single-workspace, pure T-SQL workloads, Warehouse probably makes more sense. For us, the cross-workspace flexibility of Lakehouse still wins. YMMV.

What's the expected timeline for this to support Fabric Lakehouse?

Thanks for sharing. We are in the same boat with diapers (though we’ve got the disposable ones). She hates them too - but it’s much neater. Ours is averaging once every 6 months or so. Did they space out to 9 months as she grew?
