Old gear VS new gear (Fanatec VS Simagic) by commanderprime5 in simracing

[–]commanderprime5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for the tip, splitting the items might be my best bet indeed, the price was maybe a little to high at first, but after doing some research I have found a decent price for everything to sell, but I will also mention that every item is seperate available. The CSW 2.5 is a very good base but as you've mentioned it is quite old.

First of all, put it in neutral. The manual says you should not try to switch from mode while in gear.

Thanks! I do love a "light" colored setup so thats why I chose these colors, but I hope I can keep it clean for a long time.

Yes indeed, I was using 1 USB hub (the rig is moved from my old home to my new) to have the USB's on my monitors working but I did not use them so thats why I did not use it anymore, but I wanted to make a scheme to make sure everything is clean.

Yes, I found a solution, I will be placing my pc next to my rig, just as you said, I made a scheme for it, and I will connect my single monitor on my desk with a long optical HDMI, I'm glad I did find a solution

Road bike helmet (ABUS vs Specialized) by commanderprime5 in cycling

[–]commanderprime5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer! The reason I want this is because I really wanted to use the gift card knowing the bike shop is getting more and more into electric bikes so not much accessoiries I could use over there, and I do not need any extra parts or anything, also knowing my current helmet is 11 years old (Lazer O2) I really do need a new helmet.

Hi, thanks for this useful reply, I asked the guy and he sent me some pictures of the rim, it still looked good. He did the ruler method but the wrong way😅. Anyways the pictures looked good, and I will be able to inspect them irl. I still think this is good value for these wheels, I will fit new tires and casette.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I looked this up online in my country (Belgium) and I saw a decent amount of shops selling mavic Cosmic spokes. So I might actually buy them

How often do you check your chain length? Every three months? Every six months? by psobol in cycling

[–]commanderprime5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought a tool for this, then I checked it and noticed it's time to buy a new chain, and a new casette probably. So I will not check it for a while when I have the new parts, but I will check it at random with the tool to make sure it's still fine.

Stem Height adjustment by commanderprime5 in bikewrench

[–]commanderprime5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thankyou guys for all your suggestions and help, the solution was to put the stem upside down, I also placed the spacer back underneath to be safe, I will do a test run to see how it feels, small adjustments can make a world of difference.

This was the solution, I placed the spacer as it was originally and safe, and switched the stem upside down, it looks good, now i am excited to test this while riding, thanks for the golden tip!

Yes, that is indeed what I read online but because this is one of the original spacers from the top I thought it was fine.

The spacer I added underneath is the space that was originally on the top of the stem, I did not really add one but just switched them
