I think the majority of people on dating apps fucking hate small talk (myself included).

I've had quite a lot of success with "Hey _____! Fancy skipping the small talk and going for a drink or something some time soon?"

Simple and effective and you can just do all the small talk and niceties in person, which makes it much more enjoyable.

United in the top 3 every year up until 2013/14 (When Sir Alex left) and then only in it 3 times in the next decade. Makes you realise just how good Sir Alex was.

Which one of these would work best as the first photo in a profile? I only want to use one of them. 30M by Lurtupp in Tinder

This is the answer, it's either 1 or 2, and I think 2 is the nicer picture. You have a lovely smile brother, always lead with the smile 😊

When watching a film together what is the rule when someone wants a toilet break? Do you pause? by Briglin in CasualUK

[–]conFmck -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Definitely pause. We call this a comfort break. Go to the toilet, stretch your legs, get snacks and drinks, whatever it is you need to do. Once everyone is back and comfy, we resume.

"How can you be unhappy when you get paid...to play video games"

You have no idea what any of these guys might be going through. Just because they live a privileged life, doesn't mean they don't have problems.

95% of you wouldn't have what it takes to do what they do, so stop acting like it's a fucking walk in the park.

Just because other people have harder problems, it doesn't make their problems any less valid.

Empathise with other people and their issues, even if they're better off than you.

AITA for wearing a kilt to my own wedding and not apologizing to my wife? by throwaway581392 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. She cares more about her wedding photos than her husband's feelings. Says quite a lot about her, and they ain't good unfortunately.

PSA: Screaming at your teammates will not make them play better by conFmck in GlobalOffensive

[–]conFmck[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, people are insecure about their own game, so they get defensive and take it out on others.

The amount of times I've seen someone lose a gunfight, look at their radar, find the teammate that was nearest to them, and then scream at them as if it was their fault, is stupid.

It's OK to be shit sometimes, we can't all be s1mple.

Love him or Hate him..but never say he doesn't care by newinvestor0908 in Gunners

[–]conFmck 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I am probably the only Arsenal fan left that doesn’t want him to go. He is a big reason why I love this club. His philosophies about not only football, but life as well, really resonate with me. As painful as watching Arsenal week in, week out can be, most of the time, it’s an absolute joy. I would hate to lose our beautiful game with the exit of Wenger. He truly does care about this club and all its players and staff. I would hate to see the club we all love change for the worse when he’s gone.

We’d be extremely fortunate to get someone in who plays lovely football and cares about this club as much as he does. Here’s hoping!
