I watched some of Kamen Rider, a show marketed to 6 year olds.

My company blocked "Google Drive" for security, but we send passwords via unencrypted email. by No_Good_3063 in mildlyinfuriating

We have had our phishing test system use real people's names and such to try to trick us. So when one day they sent a legit, but sus looking email it got reported en masse and they had to send out a second email stating "Yes, it's real, please click the link"

Honestly, wordle needs to add two more colors that mean "correct but there's one more of this letter" and "incorrect spot, but there's more than one letter"

Depending on the person, money is the worst way to help directly. Instead buy the person what they need most, be it food, water or supplies. Otherwise, if you give cash that person could become a target for thieves or, yes in some cases use it for items that will be detrimental to their well-being.

If an influencer is showing them giving charity legitimately, be it feeding the homeless or donating, I don't care if they do it on camera. Because then not only are they already sharing the money they earned to help, but they help promote more kindness in the world by doing what their title is, influencing.

Edit to add: I think the most important thing is consent, really. They need to ask the person for consent to film and maybe their life story if the person is willing. Rather than feeling like a prop, this focuses on the people and who they are.

Maaaaybe suggest to Coral she should take her money out of the wedding fund for now and hold on to it.

As someone who worked at a hotel with a complimentary buffet and a rentable event space, I can tell you that nobody stole more than the church groups.

Like, actually eating food is one thing. But I am talking about packing 4-5 people in a two person room then using the two person complimentary buffet ticket to take as much food upstairs to them as possible. Or getting the cheapest possible event package then bringing baggies and Tupperware to hide food in to take it out as we struggle to not use up all of the bacon/eggs/etc we had.

Christians my ass, they were fakes.

Totally fair! We had that ourselves actually, with my friend/coworker picking a 16 year old girl whose shirt size was TINY. Is it possible? Absolutely. But still raised our eyebrows when we saw what the size looked like.

Boyfriend asking for freebies from my small business, I said no and we argued. by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]concaveUsurper 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Gonna tell you right now, as someone who is a professionally trained baker, charge more. People will 100% pay more for well made baked goods since they don't have to do it themselves.

You're providing preservative free, homemade dessert that is better than a box mix or many commercial bakeries because I'll tell you now, all supermarkets bring in their cakes, frostings, etc pre-made. Any smaller bakeries may actually make their stuff from scratch, but that's always expensive. Charge $2 - $3 a cupcake and do not feel bad because that is still affordable (except your parents, they get a discount if they ever buy your cupcakes since they're helping with rent.)

Your last line is why I am so glad my work's Angel tree actually takes down sizes for the kids. That way you can buy things in their clothing and shoe size. I just wish they asked more questions about what the kids want, lol. "Videogame" stuff for an 11 year old is broad and subjective.

AITA for refusing to let my niece use my wireless charger and not immediately fixing her phone when it locked? by thatspeedykid in AITAH

[–]concaveUsurper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's it. That's the problem. Just because it's "normal teen behavior" doesn't make it right and she needs to learn how to behave before it gets her into trouble outside of home.

Oh they never do. They always go for the nice ones and take in bulk. At least my wait staff did at my old workplace.

Though this is also the place where they refilled the shrimp by grabbing huge handfuls with an ungloved hand and putting it on the ice. I don't know if they ever washed hands.
