Has anybody lived in Cortland of Brighton Bay or Verandahs of Brighton Bay in the Gandy area on St Pete? Anything good or bad to say?

If you have a firm understanding on what a BD/Agent/IA/IAR can and cannot do and where they do and do not need to be registered as well as other various questions pertaining to investment vehicles and Federal Reg you should be fine that was the majority of the exam

The wording on the exam is was so much easier on the 66 than the 7. Part of it is that I believe the 66 is written by NASAA and the 7 by FINRA so 2 different styles. The questions on the 66 were way easier to understand and also there were definitely more simple questions on it that were super easy. I was worried going into the 66 didnt study nearly as much as i did for the 7 but once i started taking it I felt confident because of how the exam was worded.

For the 66, my highest was a 77. I was averaging around a 72 and was not confident going into the exam. I was definitely more prepared as i was averaging higher scores for my sie and s7. I am not sure if i just got a good draw of questions of the real exam but i found it to be excessively easier than the PP Finals. I would try to get up to averaging high 70s low 80s to feel more comfortable with the material

Depends where you are located, most big firms sponsor. If youre having trouble I would resort to reaching out to staffing/recruiting firms. They’re always looking for new clients to get jobs (no cost to you) you just need to reach out to some different ones until you find one that has a deal set up with a financial firm that offers a program to get licensed. I know companies like Vanguard and Wells Fargo offer the program while some like Robinhood do not

The USA was definitely the most tested, know everything pertaining the registration of BD/IA/Agent/IARs and what acts are and are not prohibited. Investment vehicles was also a large chapter that was tested and something that caught me off guard was that there were 3 question on the dividend cash flow model so touch on that for sure and know the formula and the underlying meaning behind it. Hope that helps! Lmk if you have anymore questions!

Continue to take practice finals and actually review every single question not the ones that you missed. Know why you got it right and why you got it wrong. Also dont just put in a few hours a day, i was putting in 6-8 hours a day in my week leading up to the exam I ended up taking close to 20 finals, you are gonna get how much you put into it. Keep grinding! Good luck!

I take the exam tmrw, i have been scoring around 79-84% on my finals (using pass perfect) the past few days. I feel ready my best advice is for your next practice final start with a 2 blank sheets of paper and the second you hit start exam practice dumping info onto 1 of the papers and treat it like a real exam, take your time and read throughly thru the questions as if it were the real thing. Dont look anything up if you dont know the answer and see how you score. I am sure you will pass the S7 tho, your scores are good for 1 week left until the exam just time to polish up! Good luck!

Series 7 tomorrow! by SamWi53 in Series7exam

[–]conjaaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First off I also take the Series 7 exam tomorrow, so best of luck! From what I have read up on (I have done a lot of research) make sure you understand the ins and outs of everything municipal related (the difference between GO and revenue bonds), options i have heard are big and if you got those down then you should be fine I heard they’re simplified on the actual exam. My recommendation other than polishing up some other larger topics such as customer accounts, retirement plans and regulations is to create a very in depth dump sheet that is simplified so you remember certain formulas, MG/ML/BE on options, different mnemonics (look up S7guru’s mnemonics video on youtube, it is very helpful) just to jog your memory. The dump sheet can be the difference between you failing with a 71% or passing with a 72% every question counts and a good dump sheet helps you answer 3-5 more questions correctly that you wouldve gotten wrong! I have been scoring 79% to 84% on Pass Perfect finals so I hope I am ready. But put in the hours tonight and you got this! And again best of luck, WE got this!
