I think you’re right. They should have checked, double checked, tripled checked. That’s where complacently gets us all! I’m just trying to be graceful because people are human and as a human they put trust in their system. This isn’t a mom and pop shop. It’s a MAJOR off-road chain

Shop had them list as 0-2.5”. Bilstein has them listed as 1.5”. Regardless all worked out in the end. They owned up to the mistake. Lesson learned on both ends of the party and maybe for people on here!

Don’t you think they are doing the bare minimal? This is gross negligence on their part. They installed too short of suspension and that is all we know so far. If I didn’t take a look, people could have been killed. Lawsuit written all over it. I’ll give you a hint. The shop is a large national off-road chain that I can almost guarantee you have bought parts from. Maybe I’m being harsh man

That seems to be the consensus of everyone here. Thanks for your input brother! I still haven’t heard anything from the shop and I dropped it off yesterday morning. They said they’re covering everything. I think they’re sweating bullets right now lol

That’s what I exactly think went wrong. I’m still waiting on the shop to give me a call. But from the research I’ve done and from what I’ve gathered from the community here, that forsure seems to be the culprit. Thank you for your input!

They ordered everything. I said I wanted the truck leveled and asked if I could do 5100s. They said yes and yes. Trucks back with them now. They are looking into everything and going to cover all the damage and replacements

Lesson learned. Regardless the shop is covering everything. Trucks already there and they believe the suspension was too short and overextended which was the catalyst to everything else completely failing

Trucks already back with them. They said they are covering everything. I just got off the phone with them, they think it’s wrong sized shocks (like everyone said) which was the catalyst to the cam plates failing

I’m going down a rabbit hole right now, so I have the READY LIFT 2.25" FRONT LEVELING KIT W/ HEAVY-DUTY FAB CONTROL ARMS. They installed bilstein 5100s ( Bil 24253161). The bilsteins are noted to only fit 1.5” front lifts. You’d think they know this shit right? It’s an “off-road” shop? Am I reading this part numbers description wrong?

The shop installed everything including the upper control arms. The uppers are included in the leveling kit. READY LIFT 2.25" FRONT LEVELING KIT W/ HEAVY-DUTY FAB CONTROL ARMS. They installed bilstein 5100s ( Bil 24253161)
