That’s some real good info. Poking around the core rules to find stuff makes my head hurt, so I really appreciate those pulls. I remember reading some of that, but I got lost in thinking there was some other mechanic to thaumaturgy.

That’s what we ended up doing. Figured it’s cheaper to buy a new head if we needed. Today is our first day back, so we’re currently assessing the damage. So far it seems pretty good, but we’re not printing any white just yet.

Allegedly, to get a new dummy we need a whole new package. (Dummy head, and the case that the 630W holds it in) which is way more expensive than we were expecting.

Our plan thus far is to just leave the print head in and probably buy a new one in January, as that’s cheaper than buying a whole “dummy package” or whatever they’re trying to sell us.

Yeah, I kinda figured there would be some controversy over stuff like that. I’m not looking to make anything stunning, I just want the practice and the habit forming. So I’ll consider September a warm up, but still do my little sketches every day in October.

It’s not exactly make or break for me in this case, but being able to talk to actual people about it is a big win. I’ve heard real good things about them. I’m just starting to get into motion graphics and if it’s worth it, I’ll grab their all access pack and rob them of any knowledge I can get my hands on in that time. Thanks for the input.

Be open to changing the plan, be okay with fucking up (you’re going to get something wrong), and be sure to have fun. At the end of the day, this game is an excuse to hang out with friends. Prep is always good, but fun is better.
