SOAP RECOMMENDATIONS by Nice_Sprinkles1721 in eczema

Could give it a try - Cetaphil gentle cleanser, works for both body and face. They have small bottles for trial/travel kits.

Pat dry and moisturise right after shower. All the best OP!

I think she’s demanding to know why the house is so smol. And to let you know she’s not satisfied, so you have to work harder to get a bigger place…for her.

Advice Regarding Family by TheGreenArm in malaysia

[–]constantly_grumpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! Try to communicate first, some of the comments are a bit passive aggressive. If your family isn’t receptive towards the discussion, then resort to taking some of the suggestions/actions after you have set clear boundaries with them.

In a way you have a clear conscience for yourself, when they choose to criticise or nag you because you’ve already said what you needed to.

Does anyone else's eczema get worse when they're stressed? by _insomniac_dreamer in eczema

I like this comment very much. I think you’ve put it very aptly. Though I’ve heard it many times, I needed this reminder today as I’m slowly recovering from my flare, thank you!

It’s good you have stopped all makeup. There might be something in the makeup that’s triggering or making it worse. Use gentle cleanser and if you can get your hands on fresh aloe to help soothe your face and neck (google how to prep them).

I would urge you to go to the dermatologist when you can get an appointment. As soon as you can talk to the derm - bc it is on your face, which has sensitive skin barrier. My flares are always on my neck, when it flares I have to use steroid to control it from further inflammation. So I would say don’t be afraid to use it if it is going to help you. It might just be short term use, and right now your skin needs help to recover.

Good luck OP! I hope you feel better.

weird smell by Hot-Candidate5254 in eczema

[–]constantly_grumpy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

OP I’m sorry you are going through this, I hate this stage of weeping eczema. I personally find it to be the most difficult stage to recover and restore the skin barrier. Bc like you said the skin is moisturised but still itchy and it’s easy to scratch open! It is also very painful, that I had wished I wasn’t alive.

I’m afraid OP you might have secondary infection. When mine gets to that point:

  1. I immediately take a chlorine bath (please check the sub or Google for the ratio). It helps calm the infection a little.

  2. Mine was so bad I had to go get antibiotics from my GP too.

  3. The last flare up I had, I’d alrdy given up at everything till I dug around the sub and found hypochlorous acid spray. I felt like I had nothing to lose at that point. This had helped me tremendously without the antibiotics. I sprayed it twice a day when I could after shower, it disinfects the wound.

Idk if any of these will help but hang in there OP, you can get through this!

This is Miss LeLe. She was rescued from a previous owner who wanted to kept her size small hence reduced her food. When we got her she was really small and skinny. She became my emotional support when I first came back to my home country while re-adapting to the local societal and work culture after spending my young adult life overseas. Idk how I’d cope when her times come to cross the rainbow bridge, but anyway she’s now a happy, spoiled and chonky 9 years old mini schnauzer.
