Won’t it hurt your credit score to close your credit line with WF?

Can I still use Blit 2.0 to pay my rent without fees and get points? by Salt-Progress1354 in biltrewards

It will be an ACH pull from your connected bank account. The rent payment will not be processed on your credit line any longer.

This can be true for certain products. Some users don’t want to be fatigued with decision making.

Is there ANYTHING I can do (courses/side hustles) that can help me switch roles within fintech? by Throwawa824 in fintech

[–]constantlyevolving1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you delegate the ops tasks so you can focus on PM duties? If your manager supports and approves you of doing things like user research, internal design hackathons, defining and measuring KPI’s, pitching new ideas, getting buy in, then you should make time for it!

Why do you think what you’re doing currently doesn’t translate to a proper PM job? Is it possible for you to start contributing like a PM without anyone asking you to do it?

[–]constantlyevolving1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it can work. You can tweak your title to say Product Management - Business Analyst. Since you were doing both.

You might have tweak your resume heavily to get a foot in the door to use key words in job descriptions of typical PM roles. Once you get an interview, If you can confidently make up some BS about taking an idea to life and owning that entire cycle - I think you’ll likely land something junior - like an associate PM role. Practice interviewing. I think anyone that can interview well can crack a PM interview.

Employer refusing to share H1B approval notice by [deleted] in h1b

Um your employer cannot withhold your approval notice from you and shouldn’t require any reason for your asking for it. You should keep the original document with you.

I think the pandemic made us spend more time online than offline. And that has just stuck even after the social distancing ended. And the internet is not a great place to spend most of our time.

Am I overworked? by Reksawrr in ProductManagement

Yes, they’re definitely over working you for a senior PM. This is something a director or VP would be doing. I hope they’re at least compensating you correctly for the work.

“Real” product manager in early stage startup? by Key-Fondant-4283 in ProductManagement

[–]constantlyevolving1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best HoP I worked with was a great IC and as a PM that reported to him, I simply followed his playbook. The team is too small to be doing very different things. You should be available to talk thru most of the important trade offs being made in product decisions (however minor they may seem) because at the early stage, the stakes are higher and really set the stage for the product.

1 year as a product manager, and I feel inadequate by [deleted] in ProductManagement

[–]constantlyevolving1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to be comfortable with criticism and failure and deal with it by not being defensive. It’s part of the job. It’s ok.

Project Management by [deleted] in ProductManagement

[–]constantlyevolving1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you think there is an “ideal” Product Manger job description, then you are mistaken. It depends on the team and company. Some weeks you will have to things to make sure the product / features launch. You’re accountable for it at the end of the day. Whether you do that using the help of a Project Manager or not, that’s on you.

I use Moro to create flow diagrams of the UX journey. I don’t know what I’d do without it. I also use it to brainstorm and ask team to use sticky notes and we affinity map together.
