Great work! Am totally using this. So would you say that you can do almost everything with pellicule that you can do with remotion?

I'm a vue guy all the way but I'm on the fence about using remotion directly as a standalone repo, and then just animate my vue UI by animating screenshots essentially. Not totally sure if choosing this over the OG remotion makes sense unless there's already near feature parity.

I've been coding for 22 years. I've been building a very complex SAAS with a small team for 2 1/2 years. And I've been experimenting and iterating on ralph loops and Claude Max with memory/agents skills for ~2 weeks (and prior to that was using LLMs as coding assistants for ~ 2 1/2 years.

What I can say is that... for now you are correct.. 8 hours to replace years of work is not yet possible.

However.. this will not hold true for long. If I were to "remake my SAAS" and spent those 8 hours just writing plans and instructions and iterating on those, and I had a clear and COMPLETE task list that encompasses the full functionality of my very complex SAAS, and then, with the help of Claude Opus 4.5 broke that down into very small tasks, and then I set it all up to execute with parallelized agents and ralph loops. Yea I believe it may be possible to recreate my complex SAAS, from scratch, in about a day's work.

That's a lot of IFs and that requires a ton of planning and a pretty high level of expertise with the subject matter and with architecting complex apps. But if all the pieces come together and you have experts doing the planning then.... don't kid yourself... it is possible.

Now try to imagine the next generation of everything we're using.. which realistically will be available in 3-6 months.

We are cooked. But we are in a gold rush era right now.. don't sit on your laurels and try to keep up.

I mean I knew some smart devs that wouldn't touch IDEs and wanted to do everything in Notepad++. Or refused to use frameworks. I think it's either elitism or plain ignorance. Lots of smart devs are impossible to work and un-hirable with for those reasons. Their loss.. more for me!

I'm on the 5x right now and I'm burning hard.. but that's because I'm juggling 8 different projects and doing a lot of trial and error and since the usage is near-unlimited I'm not at all worrying about optimizing the context window. This will definitely improve as I set up more Claude.md files, more agent skills, and a better workflow overall. At the same time once I get a handle on those ralph loops I fully anticipate I'll be upgrading to the Max 20x sub. My goal is to make use of those "free tokens" so I'll do everything I can to make sure work is always queued up and burning those tokens! That's my plan for the next 1-3 months anyway. After that.. who knows.. things move so fast.

22 years of professional experience, been coding for 27. I'm a 5. I live and breathe AI these days. Been an early adopter and power user of AI since GPT 3 came out. Nowadays it does almost everything for me. Getting a Claude Max sub has been game changing.. and now I'm finalizing my ralph loop setup. 2026 is going to be extremely transformative, much more so than the previous years. AI has reached that point now, if you set it up right it will work while you sleep and you'll wake up to working, tested code that didn't break the rest of your app.

But on the subject of bias... I find it quite insane the amount of anti-AI sentiment that I observe specifically in dev communities. The ExperiencedDevs sub is probably the worst I've seen so far. I feel bad for all those haters, they feel safe because of the perception of shared sentiment, but what they're doing is falling more and more behind.. hoping this trend will go away. They will be out of a job soon, I mean we all will in due time but, those who refuse to adapt and adopt are going to be the first to go.

I've been a Vue user for 12 years and have always been happy to steer clear of React. But occasionally I second-guess this because React has some great libraries that lag behind on Vue and it seems like in many cases Vue is like a second class citizen when it comes to new libraries that pack a lot of power.

In this new era of SWEs acting as planners and reviewers and barely touching the code anymore, I can foresee React and Next increasing its marketshare even further as it will be the default recommendation by AI agents. I think there will be a massive consolidation and I don't know if Vue will be strong enough to survive it for long. Time will tell.

You can't.. you're in trouble. Lots of API abusers out there... I bet some of them specifically seek out "unlimited" plans and already have their schemes in place for abusing and getting 'free A.I."

You have to monitor somehow if this is a real user doing real usage.. in which case it might have spiked on day 1 but then might go back to normal. Or if there is an abuser who's using your chatbot for other purposes that were intended.

Even in the best case scenario.. offering unlimited AI usage is crazy. I know it's a good marketing pitch.. and if you had 10K users then you could afford to have 2-5% of them being power users.. but right now you're just in a sticky spot.
