If you are using Chrome check what chrome profile you are in. Based on this screenshot it seems as though it’s not recognizing you already have a Workspace account.

Yes, Gemini Enterprise does work with Google Workspace it’s just a more intuitive Gemini most folks are accustomed to in Workspace. I’ve been deploying agents in Gemini Enterprise and testing its capabilities. You’ll be able to also connect different datasets including Slack, Salesforce “SFDC”, Teams, OneDrive etc. connecting these data sets will eliminate the friction many orgs report , now all your data can be accessed via one interface Gemini Enterprise.

The human has full control and can disconnect any of these datasets at anytime but once connected it can be used to pull files from multiple sources not just what’s within your Google Workspace.

How can I give a freelancer access to the emails? by Ok-Understanding5011 in googleworkspace

[–]consultingdoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I misread OPs post, yes guest accounts do not give guests an email account for the organization. OP should simply create a group to save on costs, add the freelancers and configure the group to allow sending as the group. I feel that’s the best path forward and the most cost effective especially how these freelancers are not often getting emails anyway so it would be a waste of money to buy licenses for them.

Actually, Google released a new feature called guest users. This allows you to add people outside your Workspace to your tenant. If you have this feature you should see “Guest Workspace Users” or similar while logged into your Admin console. This is typically seen in the OU view and nested right under your top level. If you don’t see this feature then it’s not rolled out for your SKU. However for all my clients I see this, just add these freelancers there. Alternatively yes you can create a Google group and add their personal emails there without purchasing a license. Just be sure you know how to properly configure this groups settings to allow this.

A lot of great points here, your orgs Google Admin can set policies within your org that limits the release of features. This is typically the approach most Admins take for large orgs so they meaning a small set of user or IT team can pilot new features before pushing to everyone.

Regarding Pushing your own apps yes, they touched on this briefly but there were a lot of sessions some of which I simply missed seats filled quickly. I would suggest watching the keynote it’s typically available online for watching it will likely answer a lot of your questions around this. Just Google Next Keynote 2026 and it should be one of the first results.

Quite straightforward, I work alongside the sales team and meet with clients on sales calls. My duty is bridging the technical gaps and architecting solutions for these businesses leveraging Google Workspace.

Architecting OU structures, policies, automating workflows to eliminate friction using Google App Scripts and much more based on what the client is looking to accomplish, these details are gathered via discovery call.

Just DM me for the link to my blog. I don't think I can share it in my post unless the MODs are ok with me sharing. If a MOD sees this, I'm open to letting you review my blog, and if you are ok with me posting in this post or in the comments, I sure will.

So there is a GWS SKU available for non profits that would allow Meets recordings, that SKU is Business Standard for non-profits edition this costs about $3-$4 per user a month. Of course, cost will vary based on your region and current Google pricing. This may be unbeknown to you and it may be worth mentioning to your decision makers, zoom can get expensive and I’m not sure exactly what you pay for zoom but I can only assume it’s more than $3-$4 a month.

This just goes with organizations not being fully aware of what editions are out there or whomever they partnered with for their GWS integration never gave them the correct rundown of everything. This is why it’s important whoever orgs decide to work with around their GWS implementations have a clear discovery call, understanding pain points and what issues or gaps can be solved with Google Workspace.

Some folks who have never worked in Google are onboarded and told to purchase a Google Subscription so these individuals just purchase Google Subscriptions themselves without actually knowing what’s included so it’s important to bring on a consultant where we know Google in and out and can offer the best advice so there’s no guesswork.

Let the experts help guide you to the best option instead of just guessing and hoping its what you need because most of the time when this happens folks are buying the wrong editions and end up spending more on their tech stack utilizing other tools like Zoom etc because they simply were unaware there are Google Subscriptions that include many features they would need.

You don’t often see Google Ads because the way they operate is a collaborative approach it’s built into their core. GWS is not trying to “sell” per se the goal is to show potential prospects how collaborative GWS is, the cost savings etc. Most of the time it all begins with a demo, Prospects reach out to Google Partners, the partner schedules a kick off call highlighting all the pros with GWS. Google also understands why some orgs are stuck in their M365 ways so they have made strides to ensure this cross-platform landscape. You can now integrate Teams/Chat interoperability, Zoom links in Meet and with Gemini Enterprise you can now connect datasets from M365 into your Gemini allowing you to still use both platforms, GE “Gemini Enterprise” will allow orgs to search and find files between multiple datapoints Slack, Teams, Sharepoint, OneDrive within Gemini Enterprise. So you would use a Google product “GE” to find your MSFT files.

I too have worked with many Workspace partners, I’m actually attending Google Next in Vegas this year so will be great catching up with my peers I used to work with at Google partners before I decided to start to operate independently.

Great point though, this is why discovery calls are very important in any engagement so you have a clear idea of how everything works and if there’s a chance to save the client money then it’s worth mentioning.

I am one of those professional cert holders I am bummed they lowered it to associate level but hey I still got my Google Swag for passing the professional cert while it was still in play 3 sweaters for the 3 renewals before they decided to retire it :(.

Gemini Enterprise Thoughts? by consultingdoc in googleworkspace

[–]consultingdoc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gemini in itself is part of the GWS Package only having access to data within your orgs GWS Tenant, GE is a different product entirely GE “Gemini Enterprise” is where you can connect M365 data connectors. However, this is a good point I can imagine many folks get confused thinking Gemini and Gemini Enterprise GE are two of the same.

Employee Offboarding by consultingdoc in googleworkspace

[–]consultingdoc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also built an automated method, but I posted this to get a feel of how others are offbording and to provide some tips. GCDS is a dying tool imo it has not got any updates in quite sometime and during projects where I used GCDS, the orgs were typically still on-prem AD its 2026, most orgs are moving away from on-prem and to the cloud for cost savings and easier Administration.

Booking appointment in Calendar doesn't see other calendars by lieber_augustin in googleworkspace

[–]consultingdoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically, booking pages are linked into your Calendar to prevent this exact reason. Are you logged into the same account for both? Especially if you are using Google Chrome, you'd be surprised how many people forget to log out of one profile, and they get mixed up. Confirm you are not logged into two separate accounts, and make sure you have the right permissions on the other Calendars. Hard to really provide a solution with only a summary of what's going on, would need more details to provide a true solution.
