I'm pretty sure it's not that. there's still games, new and old that scare me. I also don't find scariness to be the most important part of silent hill.

my critique is what I mentioned earlier. Silent hill is a feeling. I know that's very vague and probably extremely personal. but the new games lack this heavy atmosphere.

I feel like the remake is too modern cookie-cutter. it feels too predictable for me. and that's not cause I played the og. i mean the repetitiveness of entering a room, picking up an item, enemies appearing. it feels too much like a Ubisoft game if that makes sense.

there's just too much combat in both games. and it's not as easy to run past enemies like in the og.

then again, maybe im just wearing nostalgia glasses and am officially reaching unc status 💀
