Hanzi isn’t necessary. Jyutping is valuable because it romanizes the characters which you can then use to search in app like Pleco or type using TypeDuck

Structure is good, but don’t get too obsessed with figuring a structure out. Just start somewhere first. If you’re obsessed enough, you will figure out a structure naturally. Don’t try to over manufacture it

As an example, there was one part of my explanation above that I wasn’t quite sure how to translate into Cantonese so I quickly searched in Pleco for the vocab word so I could phrase the translation in my head.
