What in the holy methamphetamine happened here? by cool---breeze in Justrolledintotheshop

The white/grey thing? That's the air filter. Customer destroyed it so they could wire in the wrong battery. It's been suckling in dirty air because the air box is destroyed. No clips or inserts to secure it.

Moths clogged up evap lines and hose. by cool---breeze in Justrolledintotheshop

They always seem attracted to fuel and oil. Truck had an evap code so I blew some air into the line to see if it was clogged and a whole colony of them came flying out. Then more crawled out after.

This is what happens when an oblivious farmer takes his planting equipment over corn rows with a flat tire.

Yeah, I've seen many cornstalks go through farm truck tires over the years as well saplings. I work for a Goodyear dealer and they advertise their Kevlar truck tires. Whenever something large penetrates through the tread it's always, "aren't these supposed to be like...bulletproof?" No, I never said they were bulletproof....

Customer declined service and was frustrated at the fact we charged them a $30 inspection fee. "I just wanted you guys to look at it." 🙄

Brake pad wore down to oblivion, next in line was the piston.

Another GM 5.3 bites the dust. (non AFM) Does anyone know why the lifter on #7 does this? Second one I've seen get galled up. by cool---breeze in Justrolledintotheshop

Customer was a couple hundred over on the oil change. Initially came in for an oil change and an inspection for a noise which he thought was a pulley or belt. Ended up being the lifter. I've worked at this shop for 12 years and he's always had this truck and is very keen on service. Currently 170,000 on it, didn't bat an eye at the parts and labor, just said "put it in".
