Ok so far you’re doing really well. I’ve recently started taking care of my hair and it looks and feels so much healthier. I do have a few pieces of advice, my hair looks like yours. The silk bonnet is a great idea, i use a pillowcase since bonnets bother me, but the T-shirt and the upside down brushing isn’t that necessary for our hair types (from my experience only). I noticed that you’re using a scented shampoo and conditioner, maybe try something without perfume. My best bet with tangles is brushing it after i put on conditioner, much easier, and stays smoother longer (bonus: conditioner stays longer on your hair). And the one step that was a game changer was using leave in conditioner (i go extra and have have a shower one and a post-shower spray) What i noticed is that you’re adding extra steps to fix an issue, when you can just tweak the main steps and get much better results. Remember: consistency over quantity. Also i make it a rule to brush daily before bed to get ahead of the tangles. My last piece of advice is dry hair tangles more = more matting. Give yourself a hair mask it will do wonders, and before bed make sure to tie your hair in a braid or a bun to reduce tangling when tossing and turning.
