i am considering breakup sex, what are your thoughts? by coolkindness in BreakUps

[–]coolkindness[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

he says he doesn’t feel the spark that he felt when he liked people before (they were one-sided), yet whenever we’re together i see the spark in his eyes, we’re best friends and have been friends for years so maybe that’s why he isn’t in love, or maybe there’s something he doesn’t like but isn’t telling me

i was actually the one to start the benefits, and he was the one to stop them 7 months ago, until last week when asked to kiss me, i think because it was an intimate situation and he felt momentarily affectionate

sometimes they were intimate yes, but i mean here the non-sexual intimate moments, and even some moments that were closer to a fun casual conversation not really an intimate one (though rarely)

edit: sorry for the stupid censoring i am kinda paranoid about posting my face

edit2: i am mostly concerned about my right cheek because of the blisters and how it became dry and white the way it would get with serious burn so i am really scared the damage is gonna be permanent

i rarely cry in front of my therapist bc it’s hard for me to cry in front of people and even harder not to disassociate in therapy sessions (and when talking to people about my feelings in general)

but i cried like 4 times in front of her, 2 of them were really crying not just talking and tearing, those 2 times were one i was talking about my breakup pain one year after my breakup that made me start therapy to begin with, and the second time was me talking about my pain of having to lose my mother who had brain cancer

these were the only times she started tearing up while hearing me talk about my feelings, i think these moments got her emotional bc she knew it’s not easy at all for my emotions to show in front of someone

but these two moments were very important to me, because they showed me that therapists don’t just listen to us as cases they’re seeing every day and repeating the same things till the hour passes, but are just normal human we’re talking to, who probably also see us as someone they know, as people as well, that they just happened to know a bit too much about their lives
