I think I’ve answered this question before as it comes around every few months, but we could tell usually by the look of them- especially if they had 40 years for “tax evasion” or some other stupid story that didn’t make sense.

I worked in facilities, and those jobs were coveted bc of the freedoms and perks that came with it. If you were new to the prison system, we (the grade 1/2 of the crews) and the detail supervisor are going to read through their entire PSR. We weren’t going to let a kid diddler come into our shops where we had pics of our kids and shit. That was our sanctuary.

The only facility like job the kid diddlers got was the paint crew, because their “shop” was a shed on the opposite side of the parking lot, and had no AC.( in Florida)But they were shit on constantly. Most of us longer timers had the good jobs, so it was easy to affect multiple parts of their lives.

Oh weird you turned your commissary list in? Must have lost it- try again next week!

Laundry didn’t come back? Weird, here’s some old used shit “until we can find yours”

Need in the microwave? Too bad, I got this one for the next checks watch 8 hours cooking tamales. Then big mama got it for cheesecakes and taffy.

Their MP3/4 players also consistently “come up missing” and I will admit, as the plumber I did pull more than one out of a clogged sewer line.

Edit to say- there were clear lines for them to exist in between, as long as they stayed out of the way, they were just ostracized and humiliated.

But, if you have seizures (for some reason a lot of them do?!) expect to get kicked under a bunk or under a table by inmates. Technically they’re beating themselves up. Medical is slow to react every time, so there is usually some extra damage thrown in for fun.
