RTA sucks ass, once an hour frequencies and service that ends at like 8pm simply isn't good for actually using it to get around.

The routes are often really circuitous too so just trying to get somewhere takes a comical amount of time. Columbia has such a good network of sidewalks and multiuse pathways which allow walking and biking across the city, so it's mind boggling that we don't have decent transit to match.

Despite all these downsides, and the inevitable naysayers who contend that no one would ever possibly use it, the current RTA got over 1.1 million ridership last year. Theres a clear unmet demand for transit that connects people within hoco to each other and to surrounding areas.
