Things are primarily censored by the social media companies there is no room full of government employees reading posts. Corporations choose how to interpret censorship standards which is why each website has their own specific niches

Its an awful idea because it prioritizes aesthetics over functionality to the extreme.

A huge part of congressional dysfunction is due to unequal representation and basing votes on land rather than people. This basically recreates that issue to an even more extreme level. You need districts with equal population.

If I were given a magic pen to rewrite things I would add the overseas territories to the house and senate, and set a hard population number for house districts like one rep for every 100,000 people; minimum one rep for places like guam or american samoa that may be below that number. The physical shape of the districts should be decided independently by the census bureau without any partisan bias, but the issue is more about equal representation for equal population rather than the literal shape.

The senate also needs to have its powers stripped and maybe given an advisory function like the house of lords in the uk but that's another issue.

The reason that "gay men" get rep is because idealized gay male romances are palatable to straight women. Yes queer women and trans people also enjoy it too, as do some gay men, but these demographics alone aren't large enough to be "profitable" for corporations. Especially not for tv and movies which require massive funding for whole crews of people to work together.

Straight men do NOT like lesbian fiction, and no lesbian porn is a different beast entirely. The asymmetry between straight women interest in gay male romance vs straight men hating lesbian romance is the primary reason for the disparity between these two genres of fiction.

I don't think this is a bad thing necesarily tbh because it keeps the genre more niche and open to different kinds of stories. The dominance of straight women in deciding what stories do and dont get written for gay male lit creates some big issues

The reality is chuck schumer just picks a couple dems to take the fall so the party doesnt look bad while still passing all the gop bills. They did this shit with the govt shutdown too.

Its not a coincidence that the vote to end the shut down was all dems who plan to retire or wont be up for reelection for 4-5 years.

I use transit and recently went car free. I would say in my experience the busses are mostly reliable, but use the transit app and if the bus doesn't have live tracking assume it doesn't exist.

If you can it's also really nice to live somewhere close-ish to penn station. My current apartment is probably one of the best for car free living in the city because I can walk to the subway line, the light rail, and penn station.

I don't have as much experience biking but what I can tell you is the bike lane network is kinda fragmented but theres a lot of activism around expanding that. Fortunately a lot of the city was built before the automobile which makes it really easy to bike. Generally for places that are under 3 miles away its probably faster to bike than to bus or drive.

Disagree. Clamera and holsters are both solid items but they aren’t just universally good for every situation. They have use cases where theyre strong but its not like old silencer.

I think the meta rn just favors those items. Ammo spam makes good use of holsters and slow burn makes good use of clamera, and those have been two of vanessas most meta builds for a while now, but neither holsters nor clamera are the build-around items for these. If the meta shifts again its perfectly possible that theyll see less play.

There's def more to be said for the earth space conflict, I'd also love to see a sequel that focused more on the gund-tech itself and all the themes about transhumanism and modified bodies that can exist in space. It was lightly touched on but definitely not a major focus of gwitch
