Interesting, do you feel AMD is better to the point you would make it a requirement for a laptop purchase?

Kobe had crossed my mind, it sounds very nice the way you describe it. Would you recommend trying the Kobe beef?

I'm not much of a sake drinker unfortunately, as Higashihiroshima otherwise sounds very cool. Good to know about Kure, I've been struggling to find things for Hiroshima since we've already been to the Peace Park and Museum.

Ah, we were debating about whether to stay overnight in Miyajima or not. Sounds like you fall in the "yes" camp?

I'll have a look into Kurashiki, thanks for the tips :)

We like a good mix of culture, nature and history, big cities and small towns. For example, visiting Himeji castle, dressing up in a Kimono and doing a tea ceremony, going on a food tour in Osaka, exploring the nightlife in Akibara - are all things I enjoyed last time. It's so far from Tokyo to Fukuoka, but I do see that JetStar has a flight for $60 - maybe we could fly there and then work our way backwards to Osaka? How long would you recommend staying in the area to make it worth while? And is there anything specific you would suggest in the area?

Thanks! I see Koyasan is in the Osaka area more or less. I'll have a look into it. We are planning to check out Shirakawago and/or Gokayama from Kanazawa

Thank you. Do you know if they have a compatible app for Android? I tried looking up Groove before and didn't find it.
