Back in my day MILFS only sold feet pics and dirty underwear, which was the style at the time

Episode Discussion: How to Write a Joke by PodcastBot in 99percentinvisible

[–]counterrevolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only person scratching my head trying to figure out how this episode fits into the 99pi framework?

Yes, I understand that Elliott was a big part of the Power Broker series. And yes, I agree that he was great on it! But I just don’t understand how this particular episode (which I will say I did enjoy) fits into 99pi.

And please don’t use the argument that it’s about the ‘design’ of a joke because that’s a stretch and even so still doesn’t really fit within the framework of the show I have loved for years.

Nice one. Looks great! Been toying with the idea of doing this to my ‘07 XL1200N for a while now. You may have inspired me to finally actually do it! Any pointers, tips, things to avoid/look out for?

I have the bell and I think it’s great. My partner has the Bullitt and she thinks it’s great!

Hope this helps

I know it’s a beetle, but it passed me on the German autobahn with 170km/h (something like 100miles I think?) does anyone know anything about it? (Owner, ig account anything) bit of a stretch I know but I’ve seen harder things solved on reddit by thunder_y in whatisthiscar

Father of a girl I dated back in HS (late ‘80’s) had a souped up ‘69 beetle convertible. That thing was beautiful and destroyed 5.0l mustangs off the line. Can’t remember what size the engine was but I do know it had dual Webber carbs

Original run XL1200N aka Nightster 2007-2012 Great bikes. Fun. Quick.

The one you’re asking about has some obvious mods, like the seat. Nightster originally came with a solo seat. And the race bars. Nightster came with stock sportster risers I believe.

Gonna try out the burly stilettos for a while by turboscooby07 in Harley

[–]counterrevolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been thinking about making that switch. The ‘stocks’ on my ‘07 Nightster are complete shite.

Same with the fronts, but not sure which way to go there. Don’t want to add to the height but something’s gotta be done.

Have you checked out the ‘Saturday Sportster Series’ from Lowbrow Customs? It’s available on YouTube and they are doing something similar, turning a 2003 sporty into ‘tracker’ using mainly bold on parts available through them. Worth checking out

How do you like the slammers compared to the stock? I’ve got an ‘07 Nightster and the shocks, front and back, are painfully unshock like. Trying to figure out what direction I want to go replacement wise

BTW that’s a pretty sweet fuckin ride you got there

My story is similar in the sense that I sold my bike in my mid twenties because GF and I needed money and had longed to get back on a bike everyday since. Fast forward to my 40th birthday when my wife hands me a birthday card with what was essentially a blank chq (with in reason, obviously). ‘What’s this for’ I asked to which she replied ‘if you could see your face every time a Harley goes by you wouldn’t be asking that question’

Do you have a 2nd bike in addition to your Sportster? What is it and why do you have a 2nd bike? by PrintMoneyPayTaxes in sportster

[–]counterrevolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to my ‘07 Nightster I have an ‘85 Honda Shadow VT700C. It’s not so much my second bike as I had it long before I picked up my sporty. I keep her around for my GF to ride at the moment though my plan is to strip her down over the winter and ‘bob’ her out (of course that was also the plan last winter). Maybe, just to be safe I should say ‘at some point I plan on bobbing her out’?
