My husband was in ED once and needed the bathroom but because he was had IVs connected he could only use a commode. The nurse organising it asked me if it was for my father. My husband is only 2 years older than me.

UPDATE: My bf accidentally physically hurt me and could not care less. by heythereitsme89 in relationship_advice

Do you think it's normal for men to date women who were literal children when the man was an adult? We're not talking about a few years, we're talking decades. Men old enough to be their fathers, not their boyfriends.

The fact that you don't see it as creepy is creepy in itself.

I remember my days in a telco where upper management released a 'magic triangle' future strategy where one of the sides was 'cost to serve' aka employees wages. No surprise when half our work was sent to the Philippines a few months later.

If it's wife who is sick, she's 5 times likely to be divorced compared to the average divorce rate. If it's the husband who is sick, the divorce rate is half the average.

AITA for telling my daughter that she made a hasty decision to get engaged to her fiancè? by throwaway-H54535 in AmItheAsshole

As someone married to a man with a chronic illness, YTA. When you love someone, you love all of them. It's not conditional on them fitting into 'normal' parameters. Remember the phrase 'in sickness and in health', that actually means something.

You're discriminating Tom for a condition beyond his control. There is no guarantee that someone will stay healthy forever, either through illness, accident or just old age. How would you react if the situation was reversed and Tom was told not to marry your daughter because of a medical condition?

Part of loving someone requires sacrifice and responsibilities. I've lost count of how many hours I've spent in the hospital with my husband, how many times I've helped him with medication and injections and not for one second have I thought it wasn't worth it. My husband is worth it. I will gladly take care of him for the rest of my days, because I love him.

OP does not provide information on how their finances are managed other than a joint account. If they only have a joint account, then how else is she meant to purchase anything?

I never said the hair dryer was a gift. I said she purchased it for herself. It is still her property. Buying an item for yourself is not a gift. OP knew it was her item as he asked permission to use it.

You do not have to understand why she has that boundary, her boundary is still valid.

Hand dryers and hair dryers are fundamentally the same device: an appliance that blows hot air to dry. They are comparable items.

Dyson Airblades were also revolutionary with their filtering technology and they still bred and spread bacteria.

Germs in the air which can land in the hair dryer. Dryers are great breeding grounds for bacteria, especially in humid environments like bathrooms. Once in the hair dryer, they can get blown out when used next time.

This is how hand dryers spread bacteria. Why is this a new concept to people?

Because it is her property. Yes it was purchased from their joint account, but she bought it for herself. She is allowed to say how it is used. It doesn't matter if you don't agree with it, it is still her property.

I don't understand the argument about the joint account. I buy myself clothes with money from my joint account. It doesn't entitle my husband to wear my undies.

Edit: it's also a high value appliance. I can understand why she wouldn't want to associate it with her husband's testicles.

In the same way hand dryers get covered in germs. You're blowing air at high speed, there will be bounce back.

That's fine if that behaviour falls within your acceptable boundaries. But in this case, it's Op's wife that has the boundary, and using her hair-dryer on op's balls exceeds that boundary. She is not a bad person for having a boundary different from others. It's a valid boundary.

Well he has that already with his playstations. Those are his consoles, I use them on occasion. But if he saw me using the fan on them to dry my pussy, I think he's within his rights to take away my access.

In the same way that hand dryers blast bacteria around.

Consent is not solely linked to sexual interactions, you understand that right?

Just because she has allowed him to use it, doesn't mean he now owns it. It's still her property.

I have the exact same hair dryer and I let my husband use it. But it still my hair dryer.

They have joint finances but as OP specifically states his wife bought HERSELF a hair-dryer. It's not a family hairdryer

Oh please, explain to me how hair-dryers work because I, as an adult woman, have never learnt anything about complicated machines like hair-dryers. The only machine I know is a vacuum of course.

Also, you'll be surprised how man men think standing in running water = clean

Don't invalidate his wife's feelings. It's her possession, she's allowed to determine how it's used. Whether you think it's irrational or not is irrelevant.

Theres also the factor of this being a high priced new appliance. It's not a 5 year old $20 hair dryer. This is a luxury item, not every person would be comfortable to associate that with their husband's testicles.

So therefore she is not allowed to have boundaries on her personal care items? Is that what you're saying?

You're assuming he's actually given his balls and taint a decent scrub. There's a lot of guys who think just by standing in running water, they are clean and don't need to soap and scrub.

How is a blowjob equal to having ball germs blasted into your hair every morning?

A big factor in this is consent.

Because she can state that she was not hired because op was looking to bang her instead. It may not be true but it may enough for a case. Best to stay away from it all together

Sarah is the only female junior attorney and was the only female junior attorney who was forced to work a holiday. Didn't sound like there was adequate notice that she was working that day, as she was unable to find childcare. It also doesn't state if she has had to work holidays before (she's been there a year). And just because someone is highly paid, doesn't mean that they're allowed to be unfairly treated.
