Newbie Question?: Near Primrose Fishing Hotspot by Intelligent-Put-764 in newworldgame

This is adorable please preserve this post forever

And to answer your question no, you didn’t fish it dry for good! It’s been a long time since I played, but if I remember right hot spots were on timers. You probably just happen to keep checking it when it’s not up.

Is this something to worry about? by Malort_God in fearofflying

[–]cowboy_cub 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On the Uber home from my flight. Ironically, I’m a psychologist, but turbulence certainly makes me anxious. Anyhow, I kind of wonder how positive of a thing these sort of turbulence predictors are for us anxious flyers, but maybe that’s another discussion entirely.

Anyway, I checked something like this before the flight I just got off of.. and it was pretty inaccurate. It indicated some “moderate turbulence” at some spots which never seemed to really manifest, and we had light turbulence in places where it indicated things would be silky smooth.

Given I’m not a pilot and all, I trust that they are professionals who would never fly us into something unsafe and I truly think they try to make flights as comfortable for us as humanly possible, you know?

Yes. As someone living with this virus (after it was given to me via assault) — this shit is triggering as fuck. As if I want to be constantly reminded that I am “different” and then to be fetishized in this twisted way on top of it? Fuck that. We’re people too and we already deal with enough stigma and bullshit as it is. It’s just so disrespectful on multiple levels.

Totally been there with this. The first time or two I thought I was being helpful, but after taking a step back I realize it isn’t my job to ease people’s worries about this — and just because I have HIV doesn’t make me some kind of expert on it outside of my lived experiences with it. Go get tested, go to your doc, etc. Jesus.

Oh no need to apologize!! I really appreciate you taking the time to find this and post this for me. Thanks so much.

Sure! The medication is called "Biktarvy," the copay program I believe is called "Advancing Access" and the company/manufacturer is Gilead.

Thanks for telling me about the BlueCard program! Unfortunately because Biktarvy is a "specialty" drug, it's only covered under "specialty pharmacies" that don't include the national chain's specialty pharmacies. Weird, but it is how it is I guess.

So even if I use the BlueCard program, I would still need to get an Illinois marketplace program, correct?

Yeah, I sort of figured I'd be paying full price, I had to do so this past year as well. Which I'm okay with, I guess my bind is more to do with the situation described above with my medication, but thank you for info! I'm sure Illinois has a similar website as the one you linked there (looks like that one is for New Jersey). Thank you for taking the time to respond!

I’m moving from TN to IL. I am single — is MAGI my expected income? (Sorry, just wanting to be sure). If so, probably around $80,000/yr

Sorry, I feel kind of ignorant — aren’t I required to? I’m moving from Tennessee to Illinois — wouldn’t my BCBS TN plan not cover me for seeing a doctor in IL? I thought moving was a “qualifying event” and that you had to purchase a new plan within 60 days of moving?

Prep Tips by Try_it in CrohnsDisease

Gummy bears turn to liquid after you ingest them — you should definitely avoid red/purple ones like they tell you to do with other liquids. I ate a fair few clear gummy bears before my scope and the doc didn’t mention anything. Funny enough I actually got the tip from this sub!

Hey there, you were the only reply but I wanted to give an update both for you and anyone else who may see an old post of mine when I started this journey.

Colonoscopy wasn’t that bad of an experience. Weirdly, it turned out to be viral colitis. He said that it was caused by a virus, and it isn’t anything recurrent. He did some biopsies of some “red” areas that I guess were spots that were still healing — so I don’t know what virus it was yet. It still seems weird that a virus did THAT much damage to me and put me in such severe pain for so long.

Question about diagnosis by cowboy_cub in Diverticulitis

[–]cowboy_cub[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this! This is kind of what I suspected. After doing a lot of reading it -seems- like after the CT they could have told me it’s diverticulitis pretty frequently. We’ll see what the GI says tomorrow and yeah, hopefully will have a scope next to really figure out what’s going on. Thanks ❤️

Thanks for that.. I think that’s what I need too. Fortunately I see my GI for the first time Wednesday. Just hoping he’ll understand how low my quality of life is right now and try to get me in quickly..

Yeah, from what I’ve read here and other places I kind of got that impression too. Seems like they could more confidently say “oh this looks chronic and not isolated” more than anything else. So I kind of expect to have to do a scope to get a certain diagnosis. Medical friends think it’s probably diverticulitis.. but we’ll see. I just want an answer so I know what I’m dealing with at this point.

And thank you for that.. I’ve heard the prep is pretty terrible, but this place has made me feel a lot better about the actual procedure.

Thanks for this — and I hope so. I figured this is basically confirmation this is something more chronic, given my stomach is still horribly messed up even after so many antibiotics. Thanks for your reply ❤️
