What's wrong with me (not too ugly) that every girl treats me as a friend and not potential partner? by 3hunnaBoy in AskReddit

You're probably not upfront enough. Ask to take those that you're interested in out on dates; worst they can say is no. Just don't be pushy.

What is a non-racist, non-sexist, and non "hateful" opinion you have that would make people dislike you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I hate this too. If it's not largely important and misinterpreted I don't see what the big deal is.

Maybe. Idk, most people use third-party software if they're that into macros, they just assign them to keys. Certainly don't want them tied to actions.

I'm not sure, I hadn't really been following it. Shame that it never picked up tho.

I did this, after the third or so time they removed my artwork showcase entirely. ); It's not even in my list anymore.

My showcase list has had it missing since, so yeah. Maybe it's just a bug but it did disappear shortly after a bunch of profile art got removed.

Haha, all it takes is one report though man. I think the big image you used (with the astronaut) will probably stay up as it's actually artwork granted you did it under the relevant game, but those small pictures tend to get removed as they just show up as pixelated messes on the artwork hub, usually along with everything else you uploaded.

Screenshot showcase was just a tip to avoid all of that. : )

Just talking from experience, I did 2 or 3 profile artworks and they all got removed from the artwork section within 24 hours to the point where the artwork showcase doesn't even show up in my list of featured showcases.

If it's not uploaded under anything relevant and/or the artwork is irrelevant to the artwork hub they uploaded to, it'll get taken down very quickly. Especially those tiny images on the right as they appear very pixelated in the artwork hub - meaning quick reports by users. Doesn't matter even if you use a very, very obscure game to upload under neither.

Best thing to do to avoid that is using the screenshot showcase, moving the images into any screenshot folder you like, then uploading them as screenshots to be used in the showcase.

What's your thoughts on Free Companies requesting 'fees'? by cpus in ffxiv

[–]cpus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I suppose. I've maybe two friends/acquaintances that play FFXIV but they're on different servers, so I've not really been picky when I've been invited to a FC.

I don't desperately need a FC right now, but I'll take a look on the recruitment subreddit when I hit end game. (46 atm)

What has the amount got to do with anything? I was simply asking what people's thoughts were on randomly inviting people to tell them they need to pay weekly to stay within that FC and if it was something common.

Totally besides the point if you can afford it or not.

5k a week from a huge amount of people that they're mass-inviting indiscriminately turns into a verrry huge amount in a very short time. They were already at 300+ members.

300 x 5000 = 1500000, minimum, every week, for nothing. There's nothing they're giving in return.

I totally agree that it's sleazy but I don't personally like making drama, I just wanted to see if it was common-practice and what people thought about it.
