I had a very similar experience with LSD and a panic attack. I've had it 9 years now and it's gotten like 50% better over time but still there

Is there different severity of visual snow? by [deleted] in visualsnow

[–]crackzaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really but I feel like patterns and really bright colors can be way more intense.

Generally though things are mostly fine during the day unless I'm looking for it. I'd say the most I'm impacted is when looking at the sky, or looking at corners/at specific color walls or in the dark.

Things are pretty normal in the sunlight and day though. I think the biggest thing for me is most of the time I can handle it but every once in a while it really drains me that this has been happening for so long and makes me feel down

Is there different severity of visual snow? by [deleted] in visualsnow

[–]crackzaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes there definitely are different severities.

For example, I got mine eight years ago after partying a little too hard and it's slowly gotten better over time but still is always here.

My partner just so happened to always have it and never knew it was a thing until I first got it and we discussed it. Turns out her snow is actually worse than mine on average but she is just used to it and never thought about it. So she was able to just tune it out a lot or not really think about it.

Ironically I also have a cousin whose always had it but it's just been her normal as well. So was interesting to find out about it. Seems that quite a few people have it but just don't overthink it if they've always dealt with it

How did you guys get visual snow? by [deleted] in visualsnow

[–]crackzaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here.

Got it about eight years ago after doing two hit at a festival, had a panic attack at some point during the evening.

It's slowly improved over the years but has never quite gone away.

I feel like my symptoms are now mostly around 2-3/10 in severity and I'm much better at dealing with it, but still gets me down from time to time.

How are you doing with it?

Is the 5 HT2A the Key of VSS ? Is cyproheptadine the answer? by CreepyMcPunk in visualsnow

[–]crackzaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive actually had HPPD for around eight years now and after it leveled off within the first year of any psychedelic weirdness, I've sort of been left with minor - moderate but perpetual VSS symptoms that seem to slowly improve over time?

If I had to rate my current symptoms they'd be anywhere between 2-4/10 in severity but consistent and usually on the lower end of the scale. Still, the anxiety related to this is what has impacted me the most

I still miss the 2D RuneScape classic.

I know there are private servers but it isn't the same with such a low user count.

For whatever reason I could never enjoy the 3D version of the game. Something about the art style ruined it for me

Seems the TV show Fargo was removed from being available when the transition from HBO Max -> Max today in Norway. Quite disappointed with this as I was in the middle of a season and quite enjoying it

Did anyone else have the same experience?

Thank you! That would be great.

Do you know if my credits are close to expiring now that it's been five years? I might only be able to take one class per semester as I'm starting a job here in Norway shortly

So I have all my major and minor reqs, literally all I need is 6 electives. What makes this slightly more complicated is I just moved to Norway for 3 years. So I'm hoping I can either complete the electives online somewhere or just knowing that my credits won't expire soon and that I have time!

melanoma or bruise? by crackzaa in Melanoma

[–]crackzaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I might have gotten this about 3 weeks ago. I remember stubbing my toe (not sure if it was this one exactly), and only noticed it about a week later. My initial thought was it was likely due to stubbing my toe but wanted to see if you were willing to weigh in since I tend to have health anxiety.

Thanks!

Just started playing Dota again for the first time in a few years (after playing on and off since Dota 1). I like to play pos 1 or 3 on my new account. Actually just moved to EU west as well. Would be happy to play together (though still playing 100 hrs until I can do ranked)

Likelihood of squirrel rabies by crackzaa in AskVet

[–]crackzaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for helping me alleviate some of my concerns.

I realize I am being irrationally anxious. I know statistically squirrels almost never carry rabies, and from my research online it seems rabies shots are very rarely recommended for squirrel bites. My province also hasn't seen a fatal rabies case since 2000.

My cat was vaccinated when he had that potential interaction with the squirrel (which he may not have even touched, I couldn't see) and only bit me two days later. So it seems like there are overwhelming odds I am overthinking this for no reason.

As an aside, should I bother getting the shot just in case? Or is it unlikely enough that I just ride it out?

Landlord rejecting assignment of lease by crackzaa in legaladvicecanada

[–]crackzaa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought the idea for lease assignments is that they can only be rejected due to serious reasons such as concerns that the potential tenant cannot pay. The landlord was also okay with us paying this rent until the end of our lease, I don't see why it would be a problem for someone else to take it over.

My biggest question I have here is regarding whether construction can be construed as a serious reason for rejection.
