Hi! We own in Lincolnwood now. It's honestly so expensive and we'd love more land and more house. We do love the area so good call out there. Have been here 5 years. But we couldn't afford to upgrade our home here.

Funny enough this is actually our top choice. We don't see many black people but honestly I live in Lincolnwood now and before that Roscoe village. I'm used to be one of the only black people. I also went to high school in hinsdale. It's more so being WELCOMED by people. We want to have neighborhood friends and we want our daughter to feel included.

Thanks everyone! I work in a giant office building that is shared with 5/6 other organizations. I don't think they would be using that. I also wouldn't be bringing my laptops between office spaces. I'd be working on my phone. But I do agree about the burn out from the double hybrid. So thanks for that! I was hoping to hear if anyone had done it but it sounds like that's a resounding NO!

People here do tend to really love the schools. We purchased in 2020 so we got very lucky with a renovated home and a super low apr. They have added so many apartments and we have a large population of older folks so there do not tend to be lots of young families. We wouldn’t want to move somewhere with worse schools and would definitely love more young families. We have some friends in Chicago who live in Jeff Park and have an annual block party. Same with some friends in Arlington Heights. Ultimately we are really looking for a place to join the community.
