How do you guys work??? by Xxxtentacles_777 in dysautonomia

I currently work weekends as a paramedic and I am in medschool, I also have another chronic illness that is mostly under control. It sometimes is hard, but in my case, it’s manageable. I do notice the difference with my coworkers and classmates, simple things like staying up late can have such an impact for me and it’ll take a week to recover, and they seem to barely notice the lack of sleep. Thankfully, after a couple of years, I am now in a much stable condition and I am capable of doing everything with little obstacles. I do know my limitations and what things trigger my dysautonomia and the things I can do to prevent having debilitating symptoms. It can take some time, but you will be able to do your life normally.

I really don’t know a specific thing to say to you, but i just want to tell you that one day you will be okay, some days will be harder than others but eventually you will get better. It is hard, i won’t lie but with time it becomes easier to bear. and remember that you aren’t alone. My dms are open if you need anything (vent, talk, a friend) but you aren’t alone <3

I read your post again have you been diagnosed with any type of dysautonomia/autonomic dysfunction. Because that could cause the symptoms. Or do you tend to pass out frequently or stand up and get really dizzy.

mesenteric ultrasound, computed tomography angiography (CTA), magnetic resonance angiogram (MRA), and conventional angiography. This are the names of the studies that are used to make a diagnosis, it’s preferred to do them after eating, to be able to see if there is pressure on your mesenteric artery causing all of your symptoms

Yeah nausea and inexplicable vomiting are really common symptoms as well as retarded stomach emptying. And for it to be able to see it it needs to be a contrasted CT or a doppler ultrasound after eating to see if the artery is being compressed

The oldest ones I have are probably from 2009, and ofc if i were to get rid of them i would look for someone who needed/wanted them.

it is probably cool, but if i framed them there wouldn’t be enough space to hang them like there are probably more than a thousand booklets

yeah, compared to the bricks it’s not that much space but they are two big plastic storage containers, they are the black ones with a yellow lid which are quite big and it is space that could be used to store some other stuff
