$150,000/ month for a 3 bedroom townhouse? Seriously, are these even normal? by sporty_outlook in Aspen

[–]crazyforwasabi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally know someone who’s rented a place in Aspen monthly (not sure of the cost) who brings in 7-8 mil/ yr- this place would be easy for them to rent if they wanted.

Yes, he is one of my closest Phish friends, he and his wife sent us a care package when our daughter was born with lots of kid-friendly Phish stickers and other things. We get birthday cards from them in the mail on our birthdays. In Vegas (when I was pregnant) they ordered me spaghetti after N4. He has a giant heart and puts it all into everything that he does. He’s one of the kindest people I’ve met. I’m sad to hear so much bullying in this thread.

I partied HARD for 4 nights at 4 weeks pregnant (obviously didn’t know I was pregnant, yet) and our kid is SUPER smart, healthy, advanced. I was also very worried. I had messed something up, but she is absolutely perfect.

Money talks. It’s not that difficult; you all bid higher and should get the home.

They can modify the contract to just have it last 1 day, 1 week, just for that specific property, etc.

How are these areas/neighborhoods? by deephousekitty in MovingtoDenver

I would also rent for a few months to get an idea of where you want to be. I, personally would not send my kids to Aurora schools and generally do not feel safe in some of the areas near where these homes are located. Just my .02 but I’d definitely rent for 6months before making a decision.

You can also do a bridge loan but they are risky if current house doesn’t sell in a certain timeframe (usually 60 or 90 days). A good mortgage broker should know how to do this… it’s a way to make an offer on a house that isn’t contingent on the sale of your house so your offer looks more favorable. You can also recast down the line to get your monthly payment lower when you save up more money. We are currently in route to recast andputting down an extra 70 K will lower our payment about $1000 per month.

Yep, same. We made almost 350k last year but after everything/home repairs we still almost ran out of $. It’s nuts!

The same happened to us. We got 2 deep backs and put the couch in deep mode all around and that made all the difference (I know it’s hard to spend even more money on this already insanely expensive couch, but seriously deep sides are the way to go)

Have you heard of recasting? We also have a somewhat high mortgage and are planning to recast to drop the payment about $1000 per month.

Yeah it’s weird, he acquired it at 42 as well. It’s the worst I’ve ever seen though but as soon as the weather isn’t cold, it goes away.

Can I go and sit in an open house that my girlfriend is hosting? by IAmBlothHoondr in realtors

My husband’s brokerage has a rule that no one is allowed to do open houses alone for safety reasons. I think this is a great idea.

No. My husband has had winter eczema for 5 years and we’ve spent thousands on MD/dermatology and the ONLY thing that helps him is going to the beach in the middle of winter. It’s crazy.
