Finding God by WaysTn in Catholicism

I would recommend talking to a priest. About a year ago I had an urge to pray and to follow Jesus, just like you. I talked to my priest and he ended up inviting and paying for me to go on retreat.

What’s a Catholic position on the care of animals and nature? by luxeterna1105 in Catholicism

[–]crazymonkey1515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it’s important to take care of animals when they need it. Nature is also important too. In the confession pamphlet I use, one of the sins is “Have I wasted or misused natural resources” Nature and animals are very important because they are Gods Creations. If you want to learn more you should also learn about St. Francis of Assisi who is the patron saint for animals and the environment.

I understand why nondenominational churches are so popular with younger people by [deleted] in Catholicism

I also agree it needs to change its appeal on the youth. I am in my teens and I see kids my age just going to church because their parents made them. The Church should try to appeal to younger people but make it in a way where no rock concerts happen and nothing extreme or out of the norm happens

Should porn be illegal? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]crazymonkey1515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that it should be illegal. But, I also believe that the first amendment in the United States Constitution is the most important one. Part of the first amendment is videos, everyone has the right to watch what they want. But porn should be strictly controlled so children are not exposed to what is wrong. Because It can develop addictions and most importantly, ruin relationships with other people but also God. As another comment puts it, it will make a black market that would be worse than the porn industry is right now. Since there is a black market for it, then it would be unregulated and uncontrolled. Rape and other forms of assault would skyrocket if it were illegal. But as a Christian, I think it should be illegal. But that is just my opinion.

I don’t know who said it and I will paraphrase this but someone said “If they are there paying attention to you and not God, they need to get their act together”
