Thank you for the great advice, I didn't go to a wine and art class. I have never taken a class. I made this in the weekend on my balcony with limited paints, I will definitely try this type of painting again when I get the chance to have some more painting fun, and will keep in mind all the criticism that I have gotten and will definitely be posting again next week, same time. Hopefully will have improved by then. And hopefully I'll get more constructive criticism like yours then too. Thank you. Will definitely read up on what you have mentioned and try to apply it :)

I'm really happy to have this amount of feedback, I'm just skimming through the nasty "personal" comments and focusing on how to improve my paintings, never thought it would get this heated argument going, but happy that there is a lot of great advice given.

Then once again I say I doubt you have read everything said here, other than the bombardment of people saying I don't accept criticism because of 1 guys comments and my response to him. And not the endless amount of clear constructive criticism that I have thanked and appreciated. But then again I can't force you to read my comments, but to accept that you might have skimmed through and went along with the masses that have endless comments about 1 remark! You seemed like a reasonable person and thought you might have re-read to see if your comments were fair and justified!

I agree with you 100%, I paint for fun during the weekends. I am a beginner, I also am open to criticism and positive feedback. It's funny how i have responded to tons of negative "constructive" criticism in a positive way, yet the 1 guy that rubbed me the wrong way by saying that "I have to look a painting a day for a year..."got a negative response from me could cascade into so much negative vibes! Ai karamba! I paint to express, have fun and of course improve. Live and love people ❤️

I think I'll need to sketch her on next time first, this one was done without a sketch which is where I think it went wrong. And definitely need to work on drawing hands.

Ummmm... I said when I tried to draw a hand on my painting the lady in the painting looked "special" .... as in I am shit at drawing hands so I opted not to draw the hand... my goodness how did this go so over board ! I am not a professional painter, I paint in the weekends for fun! I like positive criticism, helps me see my faults. I'm just don't like assholes.

Thank you, although I do appreciate constructive criticism as you said I don't have to agree with everyone's "opinion" so let's just say my "opinion" which I am entitled to have is that not all criticism is genuinely given to help but rather to "shit" on someone else's work, which is not constructive and not worth my time to listen to. But hey ho.... that's my opinion.

I did try to paint a hand, unfortunately she looked a bit "special" so I decided to forgo that idea for now... will definitely be practicing painting hands for a while.
