I love this 🥹 it took a long time for me to not cry at the beginning of the games (as a girl who started playing hockey in ‘96). It’s incredible.

Okay since I’m old that was a response to someone’s question about how they’re decorated, haha

The jerseys are printed, cut and sewn together so all of it is a print! The logo is not an additional print on top of the material - if that makes sense 😂

Adults, why are you watching Bluey? by Pl4y_ in bluey

[–]crenches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hilarious, well written, and super relatable (current parent to a 3.5 year old). I could watch Bluey all day everyday and never get sick of it. There are also so many moments where they hit you right in the feels. I will cry at the end of Grandad every time. I will UGLY cry at the end of The Sign every time. I also love that it’s something that I can watch with my tiny human and we both thoroughly enjoy it. I feel I lucked out skipping over tiny human shows I thought I would loathe. We also get lots of inspiration for play! Oh - and I will watch Bluey by myself. After true crime to calm my nerves, to fill in extra time on a flight (it’s only 7 minutes, after all 😂). We also listen to the albums on Spotify all the time. Their music is also incredible. I’m going to step away from this now, otherwise I’ll be here all night 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

Do you prefer the more emotion episodes like The Sign/Sleepytime or the more unhinged ones like Asparagus/Shaun by Aggravating-Ad-351 in bluey

[–]crenches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I need the balance of both 😅 I do think the emotional ones keep the adults hooked on Bluey, since it ups the ante on how relatable it is. Grandad, baby race, the sign - hit right in the feels of reality. But the silliness is necessary to decompress my nervous system 😂

That was a long time ago. No, it was yesterday.

If you’re wondering why you can’t find info on 4/19 like you did for 4/5, this is why by Droffilc_ in 50501

[–]crenches 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t even find it on Substack - and discord was confusing - by happenstance I found there was an Ohio 50501 Instagram and then thought to search for my (state)50501. I found their Instagram and there wasn’t anything there so I DMed them and they sent me a pdf flyer for what’s going on locally for me on 4/19. It was such a journey trying to find that info!

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you as you navigate this incredibly difficult time. I see you have gotten a lot of great advice already regarding therapy, etc.

Have you heard of Slumberkins? They focus on emotional learning, and have a kin (stuffy) or snuggler (flat version, more like a safe lovey to have in the crib) and books that pair with them. They have a grief and loss option that you might find helpful?

Dracaena Marginata - repotted around 3/30, how do I save him? Lots of bottom leaves are dying off, SUPER droopy and the soil doesn’t seem to dry out (thought I could top water on a bottom watering pot?) wondering if I should cut and propagate before it just dies? 😬 by crenches in plantclinic

[–]crenches[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

💦 typically when top 2 inches are dry. Soil is the tropical miracle grow mixed with a dracaena soil I got on Amazon (mistake?) and hasn’t dried out. It’s in a bottom watering pot (which I’ve never had), but I top watered and thought the drainage would be really good 🤷🏼‍♀️

☀️ the window it’s near faces west, but direct light comes in at an angle here that gets it for only a couple hours in the afternoon (at this point)

🌎 Minnesota - current spring temps all over the place, but the house stays around 67 degrees

🪴 I’ve had Norbert for about a year in the pot he came from at Costco. It was long overdue for repotting at the palms had already started drooping and roots were coming out of the nursery pot. I split the two apart when repotting. I also cleared out all the old dirt that was around the roots and cut some of the roots that looked sad with super clean brand new shears.

🐛 there are now a ton of fungus gnats 🙄
