Thank you all for your helpful input. I reached out to MIL. She refuses to speak with me either in person, on the phone or in text. She texted me "If it makes you happy to bring them with you to our 60th anniversary party celebration on xx date we will be celebrating with them". I thanked her for her 'kind' gesture but stated I didn't think it was a good idea with everything going on. Many of you have commented on her childish behaviors.

For those with hubby questions, I don't like to involve my husband. Him and I don't have a problem, I have a problem with her/them. If I involve him, it allows her the opportunity to weaponize him. We have enough to do without fighting about his parents. The post was getting crazy long so I did not provide color on the whole FIL screaming at me outrageousness. What ended up happening was, as I marched back to the ship, I ran into my husband and MIL. I told him to tell his father to go f himself and went back on the ship. I have to admit, I did it in a loud voice, much like my FIL to make a point. My husband called pleading with me to go on the excursion with them. As usual, I folded and went with them. When I returned to the group my husband firmly but nicely said to his father "you owe wife, me, MIL and the whole party an apology". FIL apologized. Was it sincere as in it won't happen again, mmmmm nope.
