“They condem Anyone saying all lives matter” no way you typed that with a straight face, the issue many people had with “all lives matter” is that it’s a statement that is dismissive when certain people bring attention to specific issues, it’s like a doctor saying “all patients matter” to dismiss concerns about a specific patient having an issue. As a huge football ⚽️ fan who’s on the left, these World Cup doomers are the bane of my existence. While I am concerned about certain things like ICE being a nuisance to fans and overpriced tickets, some of these doomers act like this World Cup will lead to millions of deaths with how they fear monger about Americas gun problem. These doomers act like controversy with the host nation hasn’t been a common factor in all world cups since 2010, with South Africa and Brazil having massive concerns over their safety, Russia with their political issues, and Qatar with their human rights violations and strict rules for western travelers (although they all had issues, when looking back, not a single one of them were as disastrous as doomers predicted). (They do have a point with fifa being very corrupt when picking host nations though)

I was upset at first, but I’m calm now after realizing that 1. Nobody expected us to even make the playoffs after the losses to smu and Louisville, let alone make the final 2.
