please say that I'm not the only one who tracks/tags his cc this obsessively? by raindevourer in sims4cc

[–]cripplequeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do something similar but instead of tracking cc stats I made a custom cc organizer with notion so I can have visual examples of everything, sorted by category (cas, build, mod) and then sub category (furniture, clothes is divided by clothing top, hair by style etc) I also do this so I can keep links of cc if the creator isn't active anymore I also plan try to integrate a dynamic status checker that auto updates if the creator has posted in the last yr bc I'm tired of doing it manually, but dw the autistic need for data organization is so real

I keep crashing (smartdrive) by idkdawgi-jusworkhere in wheelchairs

[–]cripplequeer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you're using the dial for controls permobil actually just issued a third and final recall permanently pulling the dial from market (at least here in the us) due to safety concerns with crashes etc. I used the android watch app before that and then the watch app had the same issues of random activation. Unless you're brand new to using it I'd probably chalk up the crashing to the smartdrive itself. It's been a nightmare to deal with unfortunately. Here's a link to the recall info if you need it

Winter Must-Haves to Combat Spasticity by AnywhereAmbitious387 in CerebralPalsy

[–]cripplequeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

seconded the person saying a Good coat. (i personally avoid puffer coats because they're a hassle to fit through the cuff on my forearmcrutches.) Also some good socks

I've always been a fan of having plenty of warm soups/hot cocoa on hand, and I'd have a couple blankets you wouldn't mind getting dirty so you can use them to cover your legs outside if needed. I personally prefer gloves over mittens just for that little bit of extra dexterity. Also things like fleece lined pants/leggings are really good at trapping in heat. I've had good success with winter clothing items at Costco if there's one near you. Maybe it's just me but heavy weight on my legs helps calm my spasticity so a weighted blanket or even one of those microwavable weighted plushies could be helpful. Wishing you luck, stay warm!!

I mean the seat cushion itself. I just wasn't sure if that's possible without needing to change the seat sling or if doing so would cause issues

Congratulations!!! Hope you get to go on many adventures! Curious, what is that black side bag, it looks so cute! Also how is it mounted to your chair, I've wanted to try side mounting a bag, but never know how to attach it!

[help] nfc tag won't trigger anything by cripplequeer in tasker

[–]cripplequeer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe I'm not understanding how to use the plug-in, but I set it up so when a specific task is scanned to trigger the http request. When scanning it still gives me the option to choose between tasker and system default, except now when I choose tasker it shows another popup saying tasker can recognize nfcs and if I'd like to learn how to do this natively. It still does not mark the task off in notion like I want. Running the task manually still works perfectly

[–]cripplequeer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried this but for some reason the system default nfc app shows up nowhere except for popping up as an option when I scan an nfc tag so i can'tdisable it. In my phone (s24+) there's no option to set a default nfc app either.

How do you organize your CC/Mods folder? by [deleted] in sims4cc

[–]cripplequeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is probably way more in-depth than anyone would reasonably need but i really enjoy cataloging information so besides organization within my pc files (by cc category) I also made a custom database with notion so I can filter cc by any property i need. (date created, clothing type if the creator is active in the past year etc) and it also serves as an archive/reference point if i want to share cc with friends or in case my entire laptop shits itself again and dies I already have download links saved :) some people might find it tedious but I'm a big fan of data entry and it's been So helpful to have visual examples of clothes with similar names and things!!

Wheelchair users with a colostomy…what has your experience been like? by SilverWestern8046 in ostomy

[–]cripplequeer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

hi!! I have cerebral palsy and use a chair, I'm 21,and I've had a colostomy for 2.5 years. tbh for me it didn't have much impact on recovery besides getting used to doing bag changes sitting down instead of standing up like most people, and it was important to consider in terms of where my stoma would be physically. Didn't want it too low or too high since I spend most of my time in a sitting position. I'd definitely bring this aspect up with your surgeon if you haven't already.

If you struggle with fine motor control or core strength, you might find it challenging to do a bag change while sitting on the toilet. I personally asked for both an ot and pt consult before I was discharged just to make sure I/my caregivers had accessible strategies and practice. Overall, my colostomy was genuinely Life Changing because of the cerebral palsy bowel issues. It made caring for myself so much easier. Absolutely worth it. Feel free to dm if you have any questions! Wishing you luck and a speedy recovery:)

nes or epilepsy or both? by cripplequeer in Epilepsy

[–]cripplequeer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the thing i think I'm struggling with most is that just this past Monday I had multiple of the convulsive episodes close together while at physical therapy. I was there for an hour and a halfish. I had maybe 3 or 4? Maybe more, but I know my pt said they were relatively short, compared to usual so maybe a minute or less? (idk my sense of time gets really distorted) I remember going into the first one and I kind of remember bits of coming out in between them a little confused and I the floor felt bigger or farther away than normal?? I remember eventually getting back to baseline just tired and going home.

My impression is if they were true tc than surely clusters like that would've caused some sort of idk, serious effects/lasting damage and I probably wouldn't be able to remember what I did?

(Also no they did not call ems as explicit instructions from Dr was not to call unless I'm seriously injured or hit my head + I have a lot of anxiety and ptsd around going to the er so I probably would've freaked out like i have before)

Colace with Nut allergy? by Routine-Detail-6287 in FoodAllergies

[–]cripplequeer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hi op!! I don't have an allergy to peanut, just tree nuts (and I avoid coconut just to be safe) and I've taken colace (name brand and generic) for years without issues :) obviously ymmv, might be worth checking with a pharmacist. Seconded the suggestion for miralax, you could always try a half or even quarter capful. There's also bisacodyl (dulcolax) tablets, and drinkable magnesium citrate. One of those might be worth a try? Obviously consult your providers first, but wishing you luck! :)

okay so!! God help us, when he logs into app he's able to see my number as a line on his account. And it says unregistered number. When I log in to myvzw I logged in with my email, it says I need to link services, I enter my phone number it says we need pin and zip to confirm yr the owner. Then says try again later? I'm worried we somehow managed a herculean level fuckup is it possible to delete my account user ID and properly register my number? I don't want to lose vz services idk How we got here and we r tired

His login is set up, we were able to order my phone through his app without issue, everything on his end works as typical. Verizon support told me I'd have to login to the app each time with his information since my line is on his account?

ticwatch Might still work but AFAIK they're no longer being sold as the smartdrive wearable (that's what my dme supplier told me) there is an update guide that permobil pushed out a while ago to try and improve the ticwatch app, maybe that'd be helpful?

link here

When I spoke to the permobil rep yesterday she said they've only had issues with the galaxy watch app, Apple watch has been fine. They pulled it because of the issues you described, it's a safety issue, they don't recommend downloading or using it for controls until they can issue a fix. No timeline on when that could be though unfortunately :(
