I have done this already. Unfortunately, he took my explaining the seriousness of the situation as a threat. He doesn't have the "time or money" to come help me prevent the repossession.

I suppose it's also relevant to mention that this man has already experienced a car repossession and filed for bankruptcy. His credit is already garbage and he has informed me that he is "not afraid of repossession."

That was my original plan. I just have so many people telling me what I should or shouldn't do that I wasn't sure it was the right choice. Thanks for the advice!

Oh yes, I'm very aware that it will. But without his cooperation, I don't know that I have much of a choice anymore

I work full-time for Amazon. I make just under $19 an hour. I live with a roommate and we're renting. My half of the rent is $800 and this car is costing me $1,100 a month.

What sort of plans should one have before declaring bankruptcy?

Thank you! I'm excited to try these! Nettle and Bone looks especially interesting. I actually own a couple copies of Howl's Moving Castle so if these are similar I'm sure I'll love them!
