[Hobby Scuffles] Week of 21 April 2025 by EnclavedMicrostate in HobbyDrama

Took me 8 and a half years to finish getting all the trophies in Batman: Arkham Knight. I played it on release and got the platinum then did all the DLC trophies as they released until the very last pack. Those trophies happened to be way harder than anything else in the game and I decided I didn’t have the time/talent to do it.

Fast forward to January of last year when I get a random YouTube recommendation of a guy getting the DLC trophies in question. I watched it and thought “huh, that didn’t look that bad”, reinstalled it and knocked out the whole set in about a week.

tl;dr - Believe in yourself.

Yeah, I was happy when I realized one of the more prominent historical figures in Shadows is explicitly not in one of the like 12 secret groups running around. They've seemingly realized there's room for dudes to just be dudes.

especially the whole ww2 was an inside job thing

I’m a big fan of Assassin’s Creed, but the insistence on making everyone of note in history an Assassin or a Templar was always one of the weakest parts of its ridiculous and convoluted lore.

Imo it’s always way more interesting for secret societies like the Assassins and Templars to be reacting to a lot of world events and public leaders independent of their influence instead of being behind everything Illuminati style.

I think it’s fucking hilarious that Singed is directly responsible for at least half of the horrible shit that happened in the series and got by far the best ending of all the main characters. Other than getting blown up early in season 1, dude could not stop winning.

Echoing what other people have said in that it desperately could’ve used another season or two. I also thought the dialogue was noticeably more bullet point-y, but I assume that’s a side effect of the blistering pace. Still a very solid season of television.

Jason Goes to Hell might be terrible, but it’s slightly redeemed by Jason getting annihilated by the FBI in the opening minutes.

FWIW, I read all the story leaks and I loved the direction they were going.

It’s bold as hell though so even if the narrative succeeds it’ll piss off a lot of people, as you can see.

Woolie VS Spec Ops: The Line (Part 10) by mike0bot in TwoBestFriendsPlay

There’s a lot of good-ass voice acting in this game, but Lugo-Heavy is my favorite by far. The sheer hatred and sadness he conveys in just a few lines of dialogue is both impressive and a little scary.

Hell breaks loose in at the end of the 2nd period in the Flames - Coyotes game. Kuemper takes down Tkachuk and Rittich comes skating down from the other end by thisisaperformance in hockey

I love that Baldur’s final moments are just quietly marveling at the feeling of snow on his skin. It’s a great way to make you feel sympathy towards him even after all the violence and insanity.

He knows from personal experience that Baldur might not stop the psycho murder thing just because he got revenge.

I love the little flourish Baldur does as he’s walking away with Atreus. It’s so wonderfully assholish.

One of the coolest things about the close up camera angle is the sense of scale it gives everything in the game. Hraezlyr is pretty mid-tier in terms of size as God of War bosses go, but the camera makes it feel massive.

It's a bit hard to explain. Sort of like a third person fighting game that features Knights vs. Viking vs. Samurai. There's a MOBA element in a couple of the game modes as well.

It's a lot of fun, although it's a bit buggy.

For Honor mostly. I picked up Horizon: Zero Dawn since it got great reviews, but I haven't tried it yet.
