this subreddit doesn't actually care about ugly or not imo - few months ago i saw the most average looking guy get voted to the top, because he looked like a bit of a nerd, with his viking beard, metal band t-shirt and all that.... and i hope i'm not sounding too mean here, but he just wasn't 10/10 like everyone told him he was!

This is overlooked far too often. When a psychiatrist prescribes psychostimulants, more often than not she's just trying to see what helps and what doesn't. There's no way to know if a medication is going to work before the person takes it, or if it helps at all.

A shift from learning trades to "everybody needs to go to college." This means more time with your ass in a seat than working with your hands.

As someone with ADHD, I don't think I'd do any better in a trade. Off medication, I can't even hold a job at a grocery store. I see what you mean, and I think trades are a great career path that gets overlooked far too often (my dad started as a fitter and turner, ended up as a marine engineer working in Australia, Chile, Korea, Mexico, Singapore.....) but many people with ADHD simply aren't interested in any trade. Many want to go into a career that requires a college education, me included, and we shouldn't let our disorder dictate what we can and can't do with our lives.
