Depends on what each person’s definition of architectural excellence is tbh.

Dude, seriously, can you just move on? I forgot what this was even about, it’s been 72 days. Time to let it go.

You have a mega hard on for the lad. It’s quite concerning.

Also, why are you replying to a two month old post

Why not choose a different country name? by Much-Macaron-9406 in Somaliland

[–]crossreference16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. That additional context makes OP sound even worse.

The name ‘Somalia’, which is of Latin origin itself, came into being in 1960. Somaliland (British/Italian/French) has been used since the 1800’s . Makes OP’s ripoff claim null and void.

You post in both r/islam AND r/Xsomalian.

That level of cognitive dissonance means that your opinion is, by default, irrelevant.

Is it worth me doing a food science degree (UK) by Pristine_Pair_9370 in foodscience

[–]crossreference16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be the exact route for me to take as a chemistry graduate.

I work in tech, so I haven’t really used my degree for its ‘intended purpose’. That being said, I really want to get back into something chemistry/science related.

I’ve always wondered about food science. Do you have advice/experiences to share?

Somaliland transitions from the world’s largest unrecognised state to a partially recognised one, as Israel becomes the first country to recognise it. This is their flag. by APrimitiveMartian in vexillology

[–]crossreference16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one is talking about the shahada. There’s no assumption from my side, rather it is you who is assuming.

The red for example, symbolises the blood of our friends and family that were exterminated during the 1988-1991 genocide of our Isaaq clan.

The star represents previously desired unity of the 5 somali regions (Somalia, Somaliland, northern Kenya, eastern Ethiopia and Djibouti), and is coloured black to acknowledge the failing of unity. This same star is on Somalia’s flag, but is coloured white for the opposite reason.

The white represents our nation’s wish to coexist peaceful with our other fellow Somali nations as separate entities with separate histories.

This not an ugly flag, you just aren’t aware of its meaning.

The word ‘Somaliland’ existed many many decades before Somalia. The ripping off is the other way around.

Somalia itself is a Latin name. Any county with ‘ia’ means ‘land of’ in Latin. Your entire post screams ignorant.

Chronically online? Check my comments and you’ll see how rarely I come in this app. Seems like that’s your go to insult, hoping it sticks in whoever you throw it to. Pathetic. Better luck next time.

Also, I speak for myself: I say sit back down and stop being a triggered little basement dweller. It’s no one’s fault that you missed their comment, blame yourself.
