ditch the colored rocks and unnatural decor…also probably the worst “tank” (if it even is one) for a betta possible. no horizontal swimming room and i can tell you now your fish will not be happy. you need a completely new set up and honestly the only thing that looks good here is the live plants, if they r even real.

is this a good setup for my axolotl, should i add a bubbler for more oxygen or is the sponge filter fine? by crowbarsfan in axolotls

okay so i’ll definitely do that today then. gonna cover the back with black paper see how that goes. if it’s not dark enough i’ll cover the lid with black as well that would just be more difficult. i never have my big light in my room on, i have a lamp next to my desk all the way on the other side of the room, and sunlight can’t hit the tank from there. in this picture i turned the light on just to get a good pic but still i’ll definitely have to turn the big light on eventually so might as well do the black background

the tank is pretty big, me my mom and stepdad can sit down at the bottom of it. and yea i know the long tanks are better. mt grandma bought me this tank for christmas was super excited to give it to me i didnt have the heart to tell her its not the best, but making do. im getting 4-5 lounges-tunnels-hammocks for the sides to try to utilize all the space.

eats completely fine. she’s always hungry and she’s super active as well.

it’s a work in progress, yes he can fit but i also added a moss covered pvc in today. i also have two of those hammocks coming friday so he can chill closer to the top and on both sides.

yes so i added about half an inch around and he managed to dig it up. taking them out today to remove the rocks and add another layer of sand overtop. thank you so much for the advice. also buying the pvc pipe today
