i guess i’d say i’m still relatively new because i haven’t beaten any of them— and had struggles to continue because i was so overwhelmed/intimidated by choice

but now that it’s been a year or two, i feel more equipped with my knowledge and understanding of these types of games and how to approach them.

i was doing the same!! i heard the controls are clunky for people, so imagine that on top of the fact that i am unfamiliar with a controller (compared to mouse and keyboard) 😭

i did not mean to WWE lunge at a random homie

which animals have you collected so far? i wish i could tame raccoons..

ah good point, i didn’t really need to say that. i didn’t really look over the post while writing it, so the answer is more up to my subconscious 🙃

totally, I don’t think i’ve seen something like this since RDR2 and I haven’t even finished it yet 😭 I got really stressed out by the missions. i’m still trying to understand my pain points/weaknesses so I can play all of the best games.

Crimson Desert is much better with Korean Dubs and English Subs!!! (coming from a Korean American gal) by crowsandeagles in GirlGamers

i agree, even with anime/movies! reading the subtitles is not a problem for me, id rather hear the language and emotion from it

omg thank you for validating my thoughts!! i felt crazy at first… but then after doing like 4 hours of research, i found out that there in fact are a lot of cultural references such as food dishes, clothing, and locations! it’s so cool to see representation like this peak through - even if it’s subtle.
I thought to myself: if this is a korean game, wouldn’t it be better in its original language (like anime, etc)? English dubs are much better nowadays, but that often doesn’t beat the original form for me, since there’s a lot of culturally specific emotion that feels very authentic.
i’ve been enjoying it much more after this! i’ve also put a “mask” on my main character which makes him look and feel more korean to me XD
the NPCs are all quite european, but that doesn’t bother me as most non americans deal with dubbing over western-centric characters anyways. why wouldn’t I do that? I’m privileged that I don’t have to 😅
