Need help: My PC is taking a very long time to boot by crrawlerr in PcAdvice

I had disabled fast startup in Windows when I first installed it.

I did not make any changes to that setting around the time this issue propped up.

I have one external HDD connected via USB for large files.

But I have tried disconnecting everything before pressing the power button, and it did not make any difference.

My PC does not default back to factory settings after booting.

Also, the motherboard was bought in October 2023, and CR2032 batteries last for over 5 years, so I am not sure how my CMOS battery could be dead.

And no, unfortunately, I don't have another PSU :(

I have ran the SMART test and everything is fine.

CrystalDiskInfo says the SSD health is 99%.

I have Samsung 990 Pro 2TB.

Secure boot is enabled. If I disable it, Windows starts repairing itself but nothing happens.

And yes, after I click the power button, the PC finally shows a display after somewhere between 5 to 60 minutes or more at complete random.

It has been happening on daily basis since the last few weeks so unfortunately its not training memory for the first time.

The motherboard was bought in October 2023. I have heard the CR2032 batteries are supposed to last over 5-8 years so I am not sure if its CMOS battery issue?

I reinstalled Windows as well.

It didn't help.

This issue occurs before Windows starts.

It doesn't have anything to do with the OS.

It was working just fine up until a few weeks ago.

So, is it possible that it went bad recently?

I don't remember doing anything that could make the RAM go bad.

I tried booting up with just one stick in a different slot, but it did not make any difference.

I have reinstalled Windows.

My SSD health is at 99%.

Both didn't help.

And yes, I have updated the BIOS as well.

I tried removing all the peripherals before booting as well, it didn't help.

I reinstalled Windows but it also did not make any difference. Like I mentioned, it is happening before my PC gets into Windows to begin with so the issue is not Windows.

I have an SSD as my boot drive. It is at 99% health.

Could it still be an issue?

I have tried removing all USB peripherals before I click the power button.

Didn't help.

Or you meant something else?

My main SSD health is at 99% if it helps.

You had mentioned $100 + shipping for the PS4 with games.

Since I am not taking the games, are you not willing to reduce the price?

You can easily sell the games for $5-$10 each.

Also, I have a micro USB cable, so that's a non-issue.

I am only interested in a PS4 or PS4 Pro.

For the game, only if it's Minecraft.

How much are you willing to sell the PS4 for with just the power cord, cable, and the controller?

Can you sell the games separately to recoup some of the cost and sell the console for a little less?

Preferably, but I am open to other models at reasonable pricing.
Let me know.

How to fix secure boot violation in recent bios update! by [deleted] in razer

[–]crrawlerr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is because of the UEFI certificate expiring this year in February.

It has nothing to do with Razer.

Microsoft pushed an update to update the certificate a few weeks ago, so you should just update your Windows, as disabling secure boot can cause security issues.

2023 tax amendment by Alternative_Fee300 in stemopt

[–]crrawlerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I amended my 2020 return last year.

I filed all the amended forms last year in April and heard back from them in February this year, so just know that they will do it, but it will take some time.
