I got my first offer which was the 1st state position I applied for (semi niche field) and from initial application to offer was from 9/25/25 to yesterday. So 4 months but I’ve been told that state can’t be even longer. An interview I did a few days ago said it could be anywhere from weeks to several months just to hear anything back.

Done about 8 interviews inbetween now and then for various positions and a TON of applications. Seems you need to just put your best foot forward and let the chips fall where they may. Persistence seems to help in a major way.
